Pretty fun episode overall. It's fairly natural that the transition from childhood friends to lovers would be awkward.

Why the hell are two fujoshis fighting over Rei vs Asuka? Wouldn't it be more ToujiXShinji vs KaworuXShinji, or even KaworuXShjinji vs ShinjiXKaworu?

The general awkward atmosphere the main pair had in the first part is understandable. It has to be pretty weird to move from friends that joked about dating to actually dating.

The RPG gag in the beginning was pretty funny.

I think every otaku past a certain age fights over Rei vs. Asuka. it transcends specialty or niche.

I'm gonna have to drop this one since the comedy isn't working for me mostly but I do want to take the time to let everyone know how much I laughed at that Gendo Ikari moment with the Decisive Battle beat drop. That was hilarious.

This was surprisingly decent. I have enjoyed the two first episodes. Great character interaction all around. I wonder if they will involve more side characters eventually or whether we will just follow the development of the two couples. (Well, for weird values of "couples".)

There's a third couple in the promo images for the series who are likely to be introduced later but the series will stay quite tightly focussed on the main four characters (the other couple are fun though in an oblivious/awkward way).

Hirotaka is a really nice character. I wouldn't call him dense, but rather, pure. He's still a man though.

That's a pretty clever spot to put your stash since I doubt anyone would look there and even if it is found, someone else will take the fall.

Well sure, if you put aside that it's at work and that if anything goes wrong you've set up your friend to take the fall.
