I was referring to the events of Endless Eight adding about 600 years to her life. I had wanted to change "enhanced" to "lengthened," but I was experiencing problems with the forums.

Technically, yes. The major point is that Yuki gained a life experience of 600 years, which cleverly justifies how she managed to "grow" as a character within the timespan of the novels. By which I mean, near-perfect demigods in fiction generally don't emotionally age very quickly over a human life time.

Had Endless Eight not happened, Yuki might still be emotionless by book 10, if not all the way to Adult Mikuru's time.

{insert facepalm graphic here}

The conversation was regarding long noodles symbolizing a long life. It had absolutely nothing to do with Nagato's emotional development.

That too. I am just pointing out as an aside that Endless Eight served as a necessary tool to "Age" Nagato.

I doubt it's coincidental. It wouldn't surprise me if people from KyoAni actually walked around the area, did some basic sketches, and used them.

If so, it is quite impressive. That's artistic dedication to realism to say the least.

Of course it isn't. Nearly every scene in Haruhi has its prototype in real-life Nishinomiya, school interior included. It's true for 2006 episodes as well. On 2009 production DVDs they even included extras showing their trip to Nishinomiya for location hunting.

2007 Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody ad anyone?

KyoAni is known for their realistic backgrounds.

The old Season was similarly well detailed. As we can see here. So was Kanon and Clannad. In Suzumiya case, I believe many of that places actually are in Nishinomiya, the town where the story is set.

There is a english page, with with only th real photos here. You can try to guess which episod you see the scario before read the text.

They even did realistic for Lucky Star and K-On...at least part of the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same for Munto or their parts of Full Metal Panic.
