Okay, we actually found the problem. It seems it didn't get carried well when we did the demo build at first.

Whenever I try to proceed past this line in Episode 2, the program closes without warning. I'm not the only one this is happening to, am I?

Natsuhi, Rosa, and Ange have pretty names. ^^
Jessica's name is pretty too... I mean, the words in the definition are... but I don't quite understand "scarlet will aroma". ^^;

okay, now I dunno if it was my carelessness or whatnot, but that glitch was fixed first at the middle stage of the check yesterday, and I assume that, because of some strange reason (probably a clumsy copy pasta manoeuvre, the fix wasn't applied), the final build got that.

I could make a quick fix without any problem, and the rest of the patch for episode 2 is fine (as expected, there was only that glitch that got reversed, the rest is pretty much solved).

Please download this Nscript.dat from this link, and overwrite the old one with it.
You should be able to get past this point.
I will update the episode 2 build, and leave the updated nscript.dat in case for those who downloaded the first one already.
My apologies for such inconvenience, I hope the fix was provided fast enough.

Despite being so similar to each other, Episode 2 and 3 got their big share of differences despite it is the same episode script *sigh*
good grief, I hope episode 4 won't change anything drastically, or it will make things even more complicated...

I'll edit some of minor areas in red font

右代宮 (Ushiromiya) = Right (hand) Royal Court
代 refers to 代官 which means "official," add the kanji 右 roughly means "my trusted right-hand official."
宮 means the ancient "royal court"

Considering that Kinzo was placed as the heir by the relatives during the war, it is safe to assume that the family history of the Ushiromiya bloodline is rather high class, even before Kinzo's made his fortune with gold.

Yes. Starting from Episode 2, TIPS section have the "normal" ones, but also the "meta world" ones.
You just have to click on "next" below the character grid so you can switch with the other one.

I seem to have a problem similar to Aile Chevalier's. I updated the nscript.dat with the one Klashikari posted, but I still cannot get past this line without the program crashing.

I tried to replicate the bug, but I'm completely unable to have such crash with either episode 2 or episode 3.

First, some information required: what game are you using? What about the patch version?

As for the character bios, it should not be blank. That pretty much means your arc.nsa has been corrupted or something.

Did you try to uninstall completely and install everything back after? (both the original game and the patch).

My patch version is 2.0 and I'm playing it on Episode 2. My OS is a Windows XP. I have not gotten a chance to re-install the game/patch.

Since it seems it's going to be a while until my game disk comes in (it just shipped today from Japan), I decided I would download the updated demo patch. Unfortunately,
Media fire keeps on giving me a "NOTICE: No servers are currently available with the requested data on them. Please retry your request in a moment" message everytime I try to get it.

Just thought you guys would like to know.

Where did you actually put the corrected nscript.dat? As far as I can see, your game nscript.dat is abnormally large, so I wonder if you didn't put that in the game folder and not in the patch folder. (the original one is 2294 KB, and the 4065KB is the english one).

Also, your arc.nsa is weirdly too small. It should be 313MB large, so it means your arc.nsa file is missing BIG time of data. It is actually the exact same size of the downloadable demo. So I'm actually wondering if you are not using the very wrong game here.
This is probably the reason why your game crash: it cannot reproduce something due of the utter absence of some picture.

I'm not exactly sure where I put it. I just reinstalled the patch, both of the nscript.dats where the same size. I updated the one in the game folder, but I still run into the same problem. Should I try to find the game and reinstall that?

The new nscript.dat must be put in the PATCH folder, not the game folder.

I'm still concerned by your game arc.nsa which is awfully small.
Did you download the game on the official 07th expansion site? (yes or no is enough).

If it is yes, that means you are actually playing the Episode 1 demo, which is no wonder why it is like that. In such case, you have to get the episode 2 or episode 3 game, as the demo doesn't cover episode 2.

But if it is no, you have to reinstall the game completely.

The first time installing the patch, you're not supposed to overwrite anything. I think you overwrote the game files with the patch: which is not the correct way to do it. All of the patch files are supposed to be in a folder inside the game folder.
