I say final rank should follow Championship Round only for the top 4. From 5th down, we should use league results. The reason is that, unlike top 4 which had to win 3 or more matches, others can get to 5th or 6th by sheer luck. Who gets 5th from Championship Round result alone is also unclear, so I say 5th should be given to Tomoyo, 6th to Haruhi, 7th to Shana, and so forth.

I'm feeling like I should be watching the ending credits rolling from an epic, historic, heart-rending but triumphant movie.
Many thanks to everyone who made it happen.

I guess I'll be one of those people who like StrikerS afterall. Quote:
Second place is a respectable position, so I'm content with that. Both contestants did an awesome job; I can't really complain. Once the second season comes though, you better watch out for Yuki. Joining in the party.

yes definatly, regardless of me not seeing much moe at all from Yuki a good final match is always better then a one sidede one, both girls almost got 1000+ votes and considering its the first year thats pretty damn good. How many votes did Jmoe final get this year, the totals were close wern't they? Quote:
Spoiler for Obama?:

Uh... just reading back through the posts. That "unlikely" still has me a little nervous, to be honest. I won't feel completely at ease until absolute final results are announced.

Properly done, ISML can exceed Japanese Saimoe vote totals next year. However, as many have said repeatedly, large voter turnouts in Moe tournament may not be a good thing, in contrast to real political election, where you hope for 90% of eligible voters to vote. Larger voter turnout will mean that characters from series that is still running when the voting will take place will have huge advantage and so-called non-moe series which happens to be popular will also get a big boost.
If the voter total exceeds 3000, and 2nd season of Haruhi runs during October to December season and if there is a scene where Yuki blushes, I see nothing that can stop Nagato Yuki from winning the tiara next year. Fate might suffer from the 'No Repeat Champion Syndrome' among the voters, and Lucky Star actually garnered lots of ill will from 2008 Japanese Saimoe. Next year might have even greater percentage of characters in ISML coming from Kyo-Ani, and we may have to embrass that reality.
