For some reason what kept going through my mind watching this spectacular, preposterous romp of an episode was Hiro Shimono being totally unable to keep a straight face as he was reading that dialogue...

Her behavior in response to Haru showing affection for other girls while it may be understandable is not exactly normal. She clearly has an unnatural attraction to Haru both as a brother and as a lover. I feel like this has to lead to some level of jealousy down the road because I don't think anybody can reciprocate that level of affection.

You're not a alone I had a hard time believing how both Hiro and Hiroko managed to keep straight faces throughout those lines. I'd imagine they needed a couple of takes to flawlessly nail them

Surely this episode was everything petty little toads like Ishihara (child-rape glorifying novelist he is) fear and loathe. Oh, the irony.

Haru is obviously the only one of the twins bothered by this. Sora lives in the same fantasy bubble she's created for herself all along so obviously she doesn't see anything wrong in blowing her brother under the kitchen table. She doesn't even see a need to hide it in public. Haru, by contrast, is a citizen of the universe and has some sense of both what's right and wrong and what should be kept private.

In purely practical terms it's going to be hard for the twins to stick around if they decide to pursue their relationship. Now that the word is out, everyone in the village will know sooner than later and pariah status is sure to follow. I also don't think this is so easy for Haru, who I believe deep-down knows what he's doing might be very wrong. Not only that, but his feelings for Nao are genuine - maybe not true love, but genuine and deep. I know he's going to feel terrible for what he's done to her. Knowing what we know now, looks like the omake ED was quite spoilerific, wasn't it?

Haru is indeed bothered by the situation more than Sora is, but I disagree with the reasons you are stating, he doesn't think that what they are doing is 'wrong', he, who has been protecting and taking care of Sora all of his life is worried about what the repercussions of people finding out are. Just because he has started sleeping with his sister doesn't mean he has to be less of a brother, if anything it should increase that need to want to protect her from any kind of harm (physical, emotional or otherwise), this is the main reason he has gone into overdrive with indulging her in every way he can since their relationship progressed to this point.
Yes, Sora is living in a happy little bubble world, and this is because she's a girl who has had very little to be happy about until now and finally had her one and only dream come true. While Haru has a more rational way of looking at the situation, there is nothing wrong with Sora's 'damn the rest of the world' attitude, she and Haru are consenting adults doing what they want in the privacy of their own home. There's also nothing obscene about what they were doing in public together, there's nothing wrong with walking arm and arm with another person regardless of who they are, the same goes for eating lunch together, sharing an umbrella, and walking home together from school.

I'm starting to view the Nao situation very differently, this arc she has shown to be a character of empathy, who knows much more than she lets the other characters know, and does so out of kindness of heart even if it means not getting exactly what she wants. The scene in the hotel, when she told Haru to stop, it wasn't because she didn't want to have sex with him, it was because she knew that his mind was somewhere else and even though she has been forgiven and has accepted that, she didn't want him to repeat the mistake that she had made all those years ago. They both agreed to end their 'couple' status that night, probably with Haru apologizing profusely the entire way home and Nao genuinely accepting said apology because the roles had been reversed before.
The evidence for that is obvious the next morning, where Nao saves Haru from Ryouhei's prying, and gives him a friendly (not forced mind you) greeting. She also almost immediately realized that something had changed between Haru and Sora (again, empathy), and while she may have felt it to be unsettling, she decided not to pursue it further, in the end of the episode she even went as far as to try to stop Kozue from opening the door and finding out for sure what they had at that point already suspected.
I originally thought that Nao would have the absolutely worst reaction to Haru and Sora becoming a couple, but now I'm starting to suspect that she will try to be a friend to the two (yes Sora too) regardless of the path that they choose to take, this isn't to say she won't be hurt over the situation, or that she will be happy that things turned out this way, but she's become the kind of character that I can see being 'happy for them'.

While this was a great episode, it did not make me feel anything close to what I felt when watching that (which I LOVED), but that is a topic for another discussion.

In any case, this was a great episode, but I just don't feel like they touch base much on the topic of 'taboo' and how morally wrong what Sora and Haru are doing is. We already know Sora just has a idgaf attitude towards it. Haru knows it's wrong but really, he doesn't do or show much emotion except to pretty much brush it off... Guess we'll just have to see where things go in the next episode, but it looks like it will be a predictable outcome.

I couldn't agree more. That kind of comments always make me raise an eyebrow. I fail to see what's so demonic about incest. As long as both parties truly love each other and are fully consenting, I don't see the problem. Who am I to tell people it's wrong for them to love each other? Even though I say this, I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrite. I have no problem with incest between siblings but I'll never approve of parent/child incest. It just seems insanely wrong to me.

I assume the reason people are more shocked by incest than killing, is that we've been desensitized to the latter. We see it everyday everywhere, whether on the news or on entertainment programs. On the hand, incest remains a very taboo subject, thus it's more likely to shock people.

I'm having a hard time to keep my post classy.

That aside, I'm surprised how anyone can laugh at the ending scene. It was full of passion and fear of exposing. The scene of Sora coming then shocked was PRICELESS that I think I came.

Seeing Sora happy was very, very very delightful. My heart was tugging at me with each smile and intimacy between the two. I sigh at the brooding, sulky and lazy spoiled brat of before. Now she wants to take care of him.

The sex was... *brain melt* much better than before in which I laughed and smiled like silly. And seeing Haru blushing and being seduced was so... *another brain melt* I loved how he pulled his arms around her, had a pillow-talk with her, and wanted her so much that he couldn't wait to get to the bedroom.

Given how scenes from the omake ED are actually occuring, I'm believing 2ch theory about next episode. :3

-Was Haru really that suspicious with Sora? He walked with her, ate lunch with her and held arms with her. I don't think I'll be suspicious at that... o_o
