I really liked the episode 1, it was funny and interesting. This anime reminded me of Nodame Cantible.

I got that vibe too. Particularly when I saw it had the same sponsors

However, that's JC Staff and this is Toei, so I suspect we'll see a few more differences over time...

Saw episode 1. Uhm... I guess it is refreshing with main characters that aren't pretty or handsome. Or perhaps that is just the way they are drawn, a bit like caricatures. Anyway, the comedy was pretty good, and it's not something you have to be ashamed of watching. So it's alright, I guess. I hope they'll add more depth to the characters later, though.

PS: I think this is the first sub I've seen by this group? Good job! I am impressed by the translation, which must have been challenging.

I love the the accent in this anime, it's refreshing (is it Osaka or something? )
(and what would be the normal accent we heard in others anime? Tokyo? )

Ahaha Ï liked ep1, funny and easy to understand...and I liked how things moved along quickly. with such a simple plot it would get dull if things were dragged on. and you gotta love the accent. XD

Finally watched this, I had the raw sitting unwatched on my HD for a while, but I was hoping someone would sub it, and that finally happened.

It took a bit of time to get used to the fact that everyone is speaking Kansai-ben and quite heavy too. It's quite common for one or two characters to be speaking Kansai-ben (notably Osaka in Azumanga Daioh for example), but for all characters to be speaking it was a bit odd.

I constantly got a "One Piece" kind of feeling when watching it btw, not because of content but because of the character designs, facial expressions and voices. And indeed after checking ANN, it turns out the director and character designer also worked on One Piece, and Koizumi is voiced by "Nami" if you know what I mean

Anyway, it seems like a fun series and I'm looking forward to more of it.

Wow that was a pretty fast paced and crazy episode, but atleast it got to the point.

The main characters have some pretty incredible chemistry going and I cant really see myself getting tired of their antics anytime soon.

Funny how you say "guys" because I think most of the KissSub crew are girls.

Most people I know (male and female) use the word "guys" as gender-neutral. Perhaps its a regional thing...

This isn't the first anime they've subbed.

I had forgotten all about this one (it was on my list to check out) .... as a hopefully straightforward 'romantic comedy'.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. This is the first kiss-sub I have watched, I did not mean to imply that it was their first. The reason why I thought it must be challenging to translate it so well, is the heavy use of dialect in the anime, not inexperience on behalf of the translator.
