I'm guessing it's a Fluctlight of 'normal' Kirito myself. Edge doesn't sound like the Star King to me at least. If anything, I'm guessing 'The Fluctuating Light' sealed in the Imperial Palace would be the Star King one.

While I wouldn't have past it for Alicization to be the forerunner of AA, BB & CC, and Kirito being able to hack it into being a player despite not fitting the criteria of having being connected to the net from birth, I feel Kirito would be too important in dealing with other things than enjoy playing a game. Hence a copy of him running around acting as mediator.

If that is true if the Star King is in the Imperial Palace, then I can only guess that Underworld citizens were destroyed at one point. It is possible that Accel World could be Underworld, but otherwise, these are all guesses at this point. Maybe another volume of Accel World could explain more, even if it is tidbits.

well as far as ive noticed the relation is more an historical one like the Fact that RECTO.co is one of the companies working with the neuro Linker, you can confirm that in volume 5 when KYH was talking with Haru before the sleptover part.

-That revelation about Edge being Azure Heir's BB 'Parent', that got Heir into BB? That was at the very last chapter, so no more info about them until next volume >.>
And people probably could have guessed from illustrations already, but yeah even in UAF Edge showed up, he's not sealed like the rest of the Elements was.
Also, Edge figured out Metatron wasn't just a random mob at first glance, and was someone of importance; whereas back when Crow showed Metatron's current crystal form to Lotus & Raker they couldn't figure it out.

-As said before, the Four Gods and Four Saints really don't like each other Metatron and Suzaku traded shots (both verbal and physical) once in this volume. Suzaku was the one that showed up this time as well despite Crow and co went challenging Byakko's gate, apparently if you try to use IS while entering the Imperial Palace the palace bends the rules to choose the best defender. Or Suzaku just hates Crow's guts

'stubborn beast' is about the gist of it, though the translation wording used was also along the lines of 'incapable of change / old fashioned / dim-witted' beast. To which Suzaku retorted Metatron is merely the king of a hole in the ground, along with the usual 'be turned to ash, you insects' lines.

Yeah, it was Metatron Wings(equipped by Haru)+Gale Thruster(equipped by Fuuko)+Light Speed. That 2 second thing was because given the weight of Crow & Raker they need to be travelling at 600km/h to bypass the 500m in 3 seconds, but Suzaku showed up before they even crossed the threshold of the bridge.

The Fluctuating Light was said earlier in previous volume when Metatron took Haru to Highest Level, and this volume confirmed that getting TFL is the real way to clear the game (or at least Metatron believes it anyway). The Imperial Palace & TFL was present in all version of the game (AA, BB, CC), as opposed to the 'Level 10' requirement that's only in this game.

I am curious. Azure Heir is implied to have a connection with the Imperial Family. If that's the case, how in the world did Graphite Edge make him his Child? GE can't be normal civilian.

So, the Four Gods support the status quo despite gaining sentience while the Four Saints want end it.

IIRC, somewhere in Alicization Kikuoka and Rath had connections to the Imperial family. In GGO arc as well it was said Kikuoka's name in English was 'chrysanthemum', which IIRC is the Imperial family flower as well - though this could just be reaching instead of foreshadowing.

Which further plays along the hypothesis that Rath designed the various Acceleration games for the benefit of the Imperial family, seeing as how the Imperial Palace is the same in all 3 games according to Metatron. If Rath was indeed backed by the Imperial family however, it could explain how/why Kirito (if any version of him is Graphite Edge) could be Heir's BB parent.

Further WMG, in Vol18 it was also said KYH might have to move overseas due to her family sending her on a exchange trip (possibly due to White Cosmos interference), and it's said in AW-verse Japan is the world's leading VR development culture, and US for example don't have the security cameras - which means if KYH leaves for US it means her as Lotus is effectively dead to Accel World, as going into BB world doesn't work there.
Leading on from that, Rath is conducting state of the art research on VR backed by the Imperial family for nationalistic purposes, which could feasibly mean Kirito working for Rath was introduced to the Imperial family, or just another copy of him is given to Heir by Rath.

Unknown yet. However, Amaterasu is one of them. The Four Saints might be a combination of different religious and mythological dieties.

A little WMG regarding White Cosmos. It might be possible that she's a victim of memory manipulation. Black Vise doesn't strike me as someone who could gather people like Dusk Taker and Rust Jigsaw and have them follow the ARG goals willingly. He more of a researcher than a leader. Thus with his backers, he chose White Cosmos to become the leader of the ARG due to her charisma. This would explain White Cosmos' sudden personality change with Black Lotus. It might be part of the plan to let BL draw attention of the Kings away from ARG. However, the Kings attention are now on them, AS such, they let WC arrange BL to study abroad to remove at least one King out the equation.

Haven't considered Sugou for this part, but weren't his accomplices put on trail or arrested? (The details are too fuzzy to remember.) But even if Yanai did succeed in his bargain with US, he would be killed to ensure security. And we still don't know WHO is backing the ARG. It could be Sugou's accomplices or the remnants of Rath.

That would lead to that GE is a Fluctlight of SK!Kirito, or Kirito was just lucky getting to know the Imperial family. Rath allied with Imperial family sounds far too fetch for me.
Remember, Rath is a small organization belonging to JSDF. If Rath was allied with the Imperial family, than that would mean more strings were pulled for more than just AIs produced for wars.
Think of this like a phase where Rath is a pawn to conduct trials and experiments. At the conclusion of Project Alicization, Fluctlights were announced to the world to be declared equal to humanity. The reception was perhaps negative. While Rath deals with PR, it could be a distraction while Kikouka worked on another project on Acceleration with another small organization like Rath.
Even though Kikouka's "dream" became a reality, he moved on to another project, creating BB to store/imprison the Fluctlights as precaution.
Whatever happened to the Fluctlights remains a keypoint on why they weren't present when Accel World was first introduced.

I don't think RATH or Kirito would have connections with the Imperial Family - if Kawahara ever explicitly mentioned them, he would probably be charged for lese majeste or a similar law (if he wasn't shot). The Imperial Family is a VERY BIG DEAL in Japan - you don't talk about them like that.

I would prefer to believe that Heir would be an Artificial Fluctlight, placed by RATH into the Imperial Palace. Maybe Graphite Edge too, seeing as if he was Kirito and Asuna's child, they would need to do the act in 2032 (a mere 5 years after Alicization), and I doubt they'd get married so soon.

And this may be a bit more farfetched, but maybe Kirito is now the one overseeing the BB2039 project?
