She still has it?
I figured that since she was a civilian now and not actively participating in the tournament(that we know of) anymore, it would be taken from her and reassigned or what have you. I mean there are only a limited number of cores worldwide. Most of which are for R&D purposes. What point would there be in Chifuyu having one when she's a "mere" teacher at a school? |

She attended the first two, the third hasn't even happened yet. We can assume she's still the Japan Representative. |

She probaby still has the frame of the IS itself and only had the core of the IS taken away from her. The IS core is is the most important part of the IS itself, without it the IS won't function at all. In volume 7, after everything was set and done, two unregistered IS cores were recovered. Chifuyu decided to hid the fact that 2 cores were recovered and reported that all the unregistered IS cores were destroyed. She may be planning to use one of the unregistered IS cores for IS frame still in her possession.

Ok that sounds right. Chifuyu is going to use one of the unknown cores for personal use because of the threat to Ichika. And she's using her connection to Tabane to do so.
That still leaves what's going to happen to the remaining core. Though I suppose Yamada could take the remaining one for herself. All of which raises to question of what the new IS would theoretically be capable of. |

I always think there are two cores (no proof on this though)
The first one is WK core The second one would be KZ core (the one she used in Mondo Grosso) And the surviving golem core can't be used for personal use, unless Chifuyu actually has greater authority than the head of I.S.A. herself (which is overshadowed by her husband, in fact) or shit has broke the roof. It was hidden so the nations won't compete for it's possession, peacefully or violently. There's also possibility that it's creator (even if they don't know it's Tabane) could boobytrap the core and crap like that.

467 IS cores. Each one split between over 100 countries. ISA on its own already shows it owns at least 50. england has 2, germany apparently has a squad of around 5. China has 1, America has 2 with one joint project with Israel. That means you have roughly an even 400 to spread across the globe.
2 IS cores which no one other than the creator is capable of creating. The blackbox to a weapon that made 1000 nukes and a satellite weapon look like the toys of a toddler. I cannot imagine 2 of those cores would not be well sought after by any means necessary. |
