Your pretty much right, now that I go back and look over them again, (Haven't been to achtungpanzer.com in a while. Such a great site ) Overall, the Edelweiss does seem to take most of its looks from the King Tiger, with a similar track and wheel layout of the Pzkpfw III and other small bits from the IV.

Yup.

Just wanted everyone to be clear on that one.

And now that I've made my daily anal observation (that sounds sooooo wrong), the regularly scheduled debate may continue.

On a side note however, the game identifies both weapons as grenades...

Just pointing it out.

I downloaded the first episode subbed by Ayako, but the problem is they only have it on h264, so it lags when I watch it. Unless they release a xvid version, can anyone tell how I can convert it to an avi xvid? Is there a good converter that I won't have to pay for?

Hmm, no airpower in this world.

I'm betting whoever has it will rule the battlefield.

I sense

Never played the game but i love the color pencil effect they have on the characters.

Tho it's rather corny for them to have a tank in their basement and the enemys bringing armors to get 3 people

Hey, for all the Imperials know, they might have something like a tank in there. Better safe than sorry and all that.

When and where?

I don't remember them saying that and if they do it's a translation error.

I don't play English version of games. However, after checking back, the weapon does say 榴弾, which can be defined as mortar shells, grenades or even artillery shells depending on how detail-oriented you are.

Fair enough.

And in the interest of continuity, what's animated is clearly just a shell, so it's a smoke round for a cannon.

If you're going to do a reenactment, or cosplay for that matter, you'd better do it justice or else get laughed at by all the 'true' fans... Fans can be awfully cruel.
I know if ever I'd cosplay as Welkin (yeah, right), I'd need to lose 10 kilos, get a pair of contact lenses and dye my hair before making my uniform.

Both vanilla Pz III and IVs do not have armor covering its tracks.
Both PzIII N and PzIV G have armored skirts for protection from the hollow charges of enemy infrantry.

According to the game, the primary weapon of the Edelweiss is an 88mm cannon. At this point, its quite obvious which tank the Edelweiss is based upon.

Really? Gosh it is the Tiger II tank. But the length size of Edelweiss of the hull and width track is looks smaller to fit a heavy 88mm long barrel.

You do notice that I was talking about the vanilla Panzer III and IVs right (if not, read my quote again)? The default configuration for these tanks do not include armored skirts, the Ausf variations do (which were added later during the war), but those were just that, variations.

Besides, if you want a Panzer IV replica (including armored skirts), it is represented (in an almost replicated manner) in the game by the Shamrock.

Barrel can be upgraded later, it is a gimmick in the game. I suspect the game would start you off with what would be a low velocity 88 (hey, its a game).

But if you want the specs of the Edelweiss in comparison to the King Tiger, here it is:

Edelweiss

Length: 6.64M
Width: 3.43M
Height: 2.65M

Primary Weapon: 88mm KwK

Engine Horsepower: 600hp

King Tiger

Length: 7.61M
Width: 3.75M
Height: 3.09M

Primary Weapon: 88mm KwK

Engine Horsepower: 690hp

KwK stands for Kampfwagenkanone, and the game uses the same term.

Regardless, looking at the specifications, they are not drastically different, if you ask me.

Or, at its worst, do both choices 2 & 3.
