I only got to read the first chapter of this series but I'm really interested in watching the OVAs ( thought it was going to be an anime series but I didn't know there was only 3 volumes out...wow O__o )
I just love the artwork. Hopefully the adaptation pulls it through >:3 |

The trailer blew me away with spring almost in/ just round the corner, cant wait to watch this . The arts really good, the dude with the eye-patch has a flamboyant personality. Though the character that appealed to me the most has the girl with Katana ( reminiscent of Saya ? )

Hey guys, I'm a big fan of DOGS (have everything >< even that artbook with fanart~~) so I'm real excited about the OVAs. I also have some news for you if you haven't been keeping up~
According to official reports, the rumors have been confirmed that the two OVAs will be focusing on Shirow-san's "Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark" volume. The layout so far has been confirmed: OVA 1 - May 19 (Includes an official 4th Volume of the "DOGS: Bullets & Carnage" manga): "Weepy Old Killer" - Mihai's Story "Gun Smoker" - Badou's Story OVA 2 - July 17 (Includes an official reprint of the Shirow's "Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark"): "Blade Maiden" - Naoto's Story "Stray Dog Howling in the Dark" - Haine's Story There is also the following rumors (warning- only speculation): - OVA 2 will include a one-shot animation of DOGS: Bullets & Carnage, featuring the introductory scenes. - The one-shot is a tease for a full animated series for DOGS: Bullets and Carnage - It may follow a monthly episode format which allows Shirow to have a safely cap between the manga and anime. |

Good News:
Lots of good reviews on the first OVA, which came out on the 19th with the 4th Volume. Bad News: I was gonna surprise everyone with my copy of the OVA, but it SOLD OUT during the PREORDER STAGE. Wait... that's good news...! It sold out in less than a day online, and has quickly become quite rare to get in stores until they ship in new copies. However, the next shipment will only feature the DVD and not with the 4th Volume, which was a limited edition set. Those fortunate enough to have gotten thier order (I had to cancel mine since it would just be sent seperately instead of the limited edition one-set)... well.. enjoy xD For now, hopefully someone can send me a link to watch (or download) this bad boy. I also saw the new cover for the 4th volume. Oddly enough, it didn't feature just Badou, but Mihai, too. That kinda sucks since I was looking forward to Badou's own personal cover like the last three had. Also some good news, the english copy of DOGS: Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark is very good! The translation was done quite well, and they kept everything intact. |

I thought Naoto didn't have a personal cover either. |

Naoto is on volume 2 with Nil, but I consider that a personal cover since Nil isn't a big character persay.
EDIT: oop I meant volume 2. Volume 3 has Mihai. Last edited by Natsuke; 2009-05-28 at 13:52. Reason: As per the forum rules, please don't ask for raws |
