AceMan - Un Mei [song inspired by Mai HiME]

As a demoscene musician (demoscene = computer art) and a huge Mai HiME fan,
I decided to write a tune which would be a contribution to this awesome anime

So, here it is!

AceMan - Un Mei (XM version) - 1,7 MB (zipped), Play with XMPlay/Audiere/ModPlugPlayer

or

AceMan - Un Mei (mp3 version) - 5 MB

Title means "Fate" or "Destiny".

All instruments (except guitars and percussion) are taken from Mai HiME soundtrack.

In this song you hear few speech samples taken from Mai HiME. These are:

~Nagi: Well, you'll all end up fighting. Destiny is inescapable.
~Mai: You killed him!! *explosion* Mikoto!!!
~Natsuki: The HiMEs' destiny is tearing everything apart.

I made this tune using GoldWave and ModPlugTracker.

I wonder what do you think about it Enjoy!

I really enjoyed the music. Wonderful flow and pacing to the song as a whole, and each of the individual sections were great by themselves too. Small question, what instrument is that from 4:09 to 4:30? It's very unique sounding.

One suggestion for improvement. You need to turn up the gain on the voices A LOT. I could barely even hear them, much less make out what they were saying. Other than that, great stuff.

It's cello. Taken from "Kako he no Requiem", track #10 on MH OST Vol.2

I knew that some people would pay attention on this
I can only say that it was meant to be like that

Not english, but yes, I have

http://www.modules.pl

Direct link to my songs: http://www.modules.pl/index.php?id=mods&author=1

But all tunes are in mod/xm/dbm formats, so the best way to play them is ModPlugPlayer

I know that quality isn't perfect, but that's natural for tunes in this formats - for example, tunes in *.mod format has been written on my Amiga

Oh, and I should warn you - most of my other tunes aren't in "Un Mei" style.. I have inclination to write dance/disco tunes

Woah... Good stuff... thoroughly enjoyable Thanks!!

edit: But um yeah... i know its your choice to leave it like that, but after listening to your theme over and over again... if the part where mai screams could be made a little clearer (not necessarily louder), especially the static of the explosion, i think it would fit in very nicely with the... feel.. of your theme.. but your decision.

Anyhow, I'm already hooked to the song

Barely only ModPlugTracker to write tunes and GoldWave to edit samples
