That's probably the most dangerous situation he's ever been in. The caption at the end of that chapter (ended exactly at the same spot) was "next week, Gintoki dies?!"

And I agree with that girl ranking.

The first half of the episode was fun as heck. The second half... When your characters are explaining the multiple flaws of the story and episodes, it feels that Gintama really has a lot flaws and they are trying to make of themselves just to avoid negative responses. It's fun but also annoying like whenever Bleach's cast broke the fourth wall just to indicate they were catching up with the manga and make fillers. Still, no sign about the manga's final chapters?

I kind of figured they would end it with Gintoki meeting Shinpachi. There was no better spot, really. I didn't see the trial coming even though it was classic Gintama

Long story short: it's all the Gorilla's fault. He already admitted to screwing up in Jump, but if everything they said is true, it's even worse than we thought. I'm surprised there was no announcement, but then again, how could they make one when they have no idea when Sorachi will really end the manga?

So basically we have to wait for the gorilla to write more chapters and for the studio to get more money to have another season? Or is it truly over? Either way, this is the most Gintama thing this show has ever done.

Kinda disappointed on this week episode. The first half was good but the second half bugs me. Gintoki talking to the others on the second half kills the mood. I want him to meet them fast. Looks like I gotta read the manga to kill my urge.

This time they'll probably wait until the manga has actually ended before doing anything. They've probably learned their lesson by now.

I don't think this is the end of the Gintama anime.

I'm pretty sure we'll have OVAs similar to the Love Potion arc.

Also, from what I heard the Jump Giga will be published this December.

OVAs is the least likely option IMO. Either a movie or another TV series if they have enough material. We don't know how long it will take Sorachi to wrap up the series, his own estimations have been completely off so it may still take a while.

I seriously hope it's not a movie. We would have to wait an extra year to watch unless Netflix somehow licensed it.
