No, not really.

Playing with dom/sub roles does not automatically equal rape, or even wanting to be raped. Teresa is stronger than Irene and Irene is clearly aware of that if you pay attention to their scenes together in canon. You think Teresa couldn't break out of those flimsy bonds if she really wanted to? :P

Roleplay is a completely different thing, actually it's about trust between the participants and knowing the limits, unless an abusive person is involved and breaks the rules. I'm aware of how it may be misread, but I'm not responsible for people who don't understand dom/sub roleplaying.

Ah, my bad. I still don't think that is the case, IMO something truly explicit would be straight up porn-- visible genitalia, an explicit sexual act, etc. Boobies and chains do not equal hardcore porn, more like 'erotica' if you will...

I mean that's fine if people like to draw or look at that stuff but I don't feel comfortable drawing it myself. The real hardcore stuff is more 'eww' to me than it is sexy.

As far as the first statement goes, I was just being, I guess you could say, fanboyish. No need for the over reaction.

The second bolded statement, I couldn't have said it better myself. Well, except for the Emo thing, though of course the elf is hard to overlook.

Lastly, I've been wondering where that quote came from. I liked it, and couldn't think of a thing to add to my sig. Plus, I just didn't like having my sig empty.

Teresa (and sometimes Miria?) is really the only char that Yagi gave a particularly large chest. I'm sure he had his reasons for that, seeing as he clearly doesn't have a problem putting in some fanservice toplessness with the AB's. It's very irritating when artists randomly give every character a preposterously sized rack when nothing in the original designs suggests such a thing. (F/i, Galatea is not particularly top-heavy at all, and doesn't need to be in order to be lovely.)

I just want to note, that in comparison to the warrior Irene we knew in the manga, that is a very sexy image even without bigger breasts. The clothes are sexier, Irene in general has a curvier look to her, and her face even looks nicer. By no means is Irene unattractive in the manga (much the opposite), but this image just takes it up a notch. Also, her choice of clothes in the manga and her loss of an arm didn't help her either. But Irene I think doesn't care about looks, she cares more about life and enjoying it. She is not as self-conscious and vain as Galatea, and it shows in how she dresses herself and acts.

My personal feeling about Claymore is that I prefer a more realistic style, which Yagi, to my pleasure, has pushed closer to this recently. Where once claymores were cartoonishly thin and had awkward faces, today you would be hard pressed to say so. The images I have in my signature focus on something I very much like, faces and hair. If you're going to sell people on Claymore's relative realism, then having realistic faces is a must. Lately Yagi even seems to improved his shading and his drawing of hair. Just compare Miria's hair over the course of the manga.

Sorry if it seems over-reaction to you, but I'm kind of serious about that subject for obvious reasons. Why 'fanboy' the idea of abuse or rape?

It's just important to me to clarify that about my own work. Again, for what I hope are understandable reasons. I don't find rape all that amusing and would never depict the characters in that fashion. Sorry just gotta stand up for that out of principle. It's only fanart but I take my depictions of female relationships seriously as possible. (barring the occasional ridiculous crack)
