Okay, final draft of [Energy Transfer] is ready. I do think I need a new name for it though. I'll take suggestions... Already got another 'continuation' for it in the works as well. Probably be ready sometime mid-December though - depends on how busy I get.

Now, don't hold your breath. There's nothing wrong with the concept, as proven by Stratospear and Jak, they can actually make comprehensive OCverse.

What I'm afraid is there's so many things that could go wrong when it's done by a shitty author like me.

That concept kind of remind me about UQ Holder, which happening 60 years after Mahou Sensei Negima. Either way, give us a good summary, will you. Beside Sueism, the lack of original plot is what kill an OC story.

If by originality you mean rapepillageburn sure.

THAT is the summary, the actual plot haven't been decided. But for the most part, it would be Original flavor, only with 90% less harem violence. Slice of Life + School life + I.S politic and whatnot

The real drama outside school, friendship and romance probably involves company or even national rivalry.

Actually, scratch my earlier theory for Charl having a Zaku. This might fit better:

It ticks all of the boxes: High-end machine custom-built witht he latest weapons and specs, a match for current-gen mecha, and piloted by "Charles".

Finally, having this weird idea: What if Tatenashi was really taken by US on that day? I'm thinking about she met Natasha, both of them discovered a nasty truth about America, and then trying to bring this crime to justice.

What I'm afraid is there's so many things that could go wrong when it's done by a shitty author like me. Spoiler for Concept: This is set roughly 8-10 years after the canon, with the assumption of Cecilia end (but even people in universe wasn't sure). During such timeframe, I.S. arms race actually undergo stagnation, due to difficulty of adapting existing I.S. engineering paradigm and concepts with 4th Generation technology. As the result, only recently the world is capable of producing functional (if barely) 4th generation machines. Akatsubaki still stay as THE strongest I.S. bar none, despite years has passed since then. Instead of developing new frame technology, the world went into the other direction. Long story short, the concept of AI support, almost abandoned for a decade since Gospel incident, is revisited. The Fifth generation is basically Fourth generation frame with AI support. The story featured OC cast as centerpieces of spotlight, sure, but at the same time explore what kind of growth the canon cast undergo during the last years. The main character is, oddly enough, not the male OC, but his best friend/neighborhood/pseudo girlfriend/whathaveyou. The male OC himself doubles as both lancer and a sidekick So, anyone want to try cowriting with me? __________________

AAH!” Kirin cries out in pain as the <<Carnage>> forcefully draws more power from her IS, shocking her in the process. The unit's main cannon hums again with a faint glow. Ryan breaks a smile “Consider this your final warning.” He targets the Academy while the Aegis troopers take aim despite knowing their weapons are ineffective against the assault unit's defense system. “Hand over the test unit or else--!” A blip appears in their respective radar, pointing their attention to the Academy's ship docks. Despite fractured armor and scratched paint job, Inami manages to attain foothold in the damaged <<Minerva>>. “Holding innocent students hostage... How dare you...!” He aims his particle cannon at the <<Carnage>>. “HAH! Not even IS weapons are effective against the <<Carnage>>! What makes you think your little peashooter would stand even a fraction of a chance?” No doubt that what Ryan says is true, yet Inami remains unfazed with a plan at the back of his mind. With a masked smirk, he shoots the few surrounding fuel tanks, instantly setting the vicinity in searing inferno. His radical action stuns everyone. “Inami!?” The <<Carnage>> pilot laughs again. “What's this? Can't win so you're offing yourself out of shame?” The smirk remains even as heat slowly seeps through cracks on the <<Minerva>>. “Not before I off you first, you bastard...!” His tone grows rough at the expletive and the Ion Cells on the <<Telikos>> parts suddenly glows bright, blanketing the area in hues of blue light. The M-Buster's power rises beyond maximum levels, well into overload. But Inami isn't bothered at the slightest, his frowned eyes staring straight at the <<Carnage>>. “You hurt Tsurugi... You harassed the Academy...” His eyes shift to the trapped <<Falken>>, zooming the view to Kirin whom has grown weary from the pain she received. “Now you're hurting Kirin...” He points the arm cannon at Ryan. “LIKE HELL I WILL LET YOU HURT ANYONE ELSE!!” The same instance, the two trigger their shots. The <<Carnage's>> massive beam strikes the <<Minerva's>> smaller beam, with the latter pushing ahead, scrambling the much bigger beam away from its path towards the huge assault mech. Firing the continuous particle beam strains the <<Minerva's>> system and armor further, especially the M-Buster, which began to crack from the overload. The beam punches through the <<Carnage's>> barrier and torso armor. “Shit...!” Ryan looks at his screen showing one warning prompt after another. “It's just one shot...!” The <<Minerva>> goes dark from massive power loss and Inami falls to his knees, completely exhausted despite the surrounding blaze crawling towards him. “Sic 'em.” At Mikoto's command, her fellow troopers furiously unload their arsenal upon the <<Carnage>>. Garm, Ingram, Caster, even the Hammer long-range support gun isn't spared from the all-out barrage. Within moments, the <<Carnage>> is heavily damaged that it could barely move. Ryan presses a chain of buttons, pulling and pushing control levers in desperation but to no avail. “Damn it!” His eyes widen at Kirin, whom is hovering directly in front of the cockpit. Her frowned eyes reflecting the smoldering wreck all across the <<Carnage's>> armor, staring at him with the Gripen buster sword in hand. “Prick.” In one hard swing, she slices the <<Carnage>> apart and Ryan busts out of the cockpit just as it begins to explode into a thick column of fire. Bits of burnt metal and machinery rain down the vicinity. The explosion noise also rocks the distant Academy. Growing a weak smile at the <<Carnage's>> destruction, Inami sees the fire now mere inches away from engulfing him. “Ina-kun!” Before he could completely submit to his exhaustion, Tsurugi's voice struck his attention followed by a dense jet of white powder being sprayed all around him. Tsurugi, in a <<Uchigane>>, rushes in and extinguishes the rest of the fire. “Alright.” She drops the fire extinguisher and comes to his side, helping him up but he has difficulty holding his own footing. “Come on, let's get you to the infirmary!” No reply came. Enduring the blazing heat as well as attacking the <<Carnage>> has drained most of his strength. He could only nod back. “Katami-san!” Nadia calls out as she lands next to them. “Lance-san! You cannot be bad at listening to an album. ...But you can be bad at playing a videogame, and the game will punish you and deny you access to the rest of the videogame."
