Uh... how much of the anime have you watched? You'd need to sort of watch the whole anime to understand exactly what was going on.

just curious.. does the anime hack sign, occur after the game or smth?

cause in episode one begining, it just show tsukasa being lost in a cave, it doesn't explain how it got there, in fact, he's actually not even physically connected to the game.

thats one thing tt confuses me.

In America there is nothing that takes place before .hack//sign and it is the first of the .hack project. There is a novel explaining the beginning of the game and about balmung and such but it hasn't been translated yet. It is assumed that Tsukasa was just exploring the dungean. Later on in that episode he explains what happened before he regained conciousness.

This show is very complicated and you really need to pay attention to understand it, which is why i like it more than your average action animes. There is alot you can learn from the show but if you really wanna get indepth with .hack I would suggest getting the games, which follows up the series a couple years later. Your really missing alot though thats in the middle of the series which explains what is going on. Expecially when it gets to the point when they are meeting Harold Horwic. Maybe watch the episodes in order then you might understand why everything is so weird in the end

Just watch the hack sign series from start to end already ~_~
If you don't have the patience to sit through it, then you probably won't have the patience to sit down and think about how everything fits together.

haha thats why i read forums where ppl argue abt such stuff. that way i understand better.

i read somewhere, Tsukasa's player was put into a coma when Tsukasa was Data Drained. While Tsukasa was in a coma, he somehow kept a tenuous mental link with the game - specifically, while his mind in the real world seemed to be totally shut down, really his thoughts were in 'The World'... basically it was like he was playing 'The World' even though he wasn't at a console.

=P

no idea how accurate is that

love u guys for replying. tnx

Thanks for the information Actually, when I've read Europe I was thinking France, Germany, Spain, Portugal... but it seems you were talking about the UK release... anime dvd releases on UK are much more accessible, since they usually just change the region 1 US dvd release to region 2 and save a lot of work with that (adv does that)...
For a moment I thought dynamic was releasing .hack//SIGN around the rest of Europe or something...
