Now that the anime is near the end, can someone explain me WHAT EXACTLY IS THE HOMUNCULOS IN THE FLASK? The anime told us that it was created with the blood from Van Hohenheim but what is exactly? why did he know everything about alchemy inmortality and all? and why is he similar to the eye from the gate of thuth?

Q: How can I give my thanks to the FMA creator for the last 7 years (9 for manga) of awesomeness?

A: There is no appropriate thread and I sadly found out at last minute (5hrs left until deadline, closes at midnight at 7/7) to have to bug a moderator, let them make it and then let others send their messages, but for those who wanna try their hand at Japanese and writing to Arakawa herself with a word of thanks, you can do so here:

http://www.hagaren.jp/special/messege.html?id=bnr_hdr

(Not sure if they'll accept English only messages, but if she does get them, then I'm sure she'd appreciate it nonetheless)

When they do that they're not gaining anything, they're taking the elements in the ground and bending them into something usable by them.

What Al says in the beginning is that, you can't gain anything (in terms of out of nothing) without giving up a [something]

If you've just finished the first series (right?) watch the movie, since that concludes it. And then:

FMA: Brotherhood (the straight-from manga adaptation that some people call a remake)
The others are Brotherhood OVAs, so watch those in any order you want during or after Brotherhood

Some scene changes & ommitted from the manga is not possible to me.

BTW, This thread should put under 'old series' page because this show is already over.

Why can't BONES just release a Director's cut on several episodes?

This should understand for some reasons unlike the manga where they explains everything that how did Dr Marco suddenly got kidnapped by Homonculus.

All of them except a few early on. That was the point of Brotherhood.

Brotherhood does cover up the entire manga series I can see

Still makes me wonder why the first Fullmetal Alchemist went into a different path.
