The story is heading into a final stretch for a huge arc. There aren't many possibilities where I think they just never continue the story. A hiatus isn't fun when you want to see where the story is going, but it is hardly a sign of the end times. I don't think they announced a new anime project last month for a franchise that is about to die off.

We'll just have to be patient and wait for updates.

I am guessing that Erika is Pandora true self. The personality she would have if she was not curse by her fate. Miyu is the perfect person to connect to Pandora and save her heart/soul because she too was born with her own special fate. The real question is, can the author survive to finish his story because with how must he been sick. It most likely he has an incurable problem

Well that covers Pandora's backstory and sets up the conflict. Although may not be an impossible problem to solve. Right now the other side is locked into the view that they can either not open the box or use a grail to force it open. But that may simply be the simple breakdown that they've come to. Considering the mental strain on Pandora for existing for 6000 years I don't think we should completely take her stance as the only option. Heck Julian isn't exactly in a great mental state either with the possession he's been suffering.

All they've got to do is figure out a way to open it up without killing the main characters. It sounds as if they are giving Illya an easier answer. If Pandora's problem is having her spirit broken then fixing that should let her open the box. The issue is that she's understandably grown to hate humanity. If she doesn't really want to open the box, it won't open. Should make for a key moment really for Miyu, Kuro, and Illya. The issue isn't just winning a fight, but mending the heart of an ancient being.

Heck presuming they don't go tragic with this story we might have yet another girl to add to the main cast. When they eventually figure out how to open that darn thing I'm not sure Pandora will instantly perish. I could totally see them having some fun with this and having her join the other three in Illya's world. Getting to live a real life that she never got because of the duty imposed on her. There is work to be done sure. Got to deal with this current fight, settle things with the creepy ghost possessing Julian, save Pandora from her own broken spirit, save the world, and watch out for wild card entities like Berserker Sakura and Gilgamesh.

I only checked recent chapters and the movie from this spin-off so I'm a bit confused. Can somebody answer me this Did Shinji and Sakura die for real? Why is Shirou looking like his future persona with the darker skin and white hair? An effect from the Archer card? Is he going to fight again? I only found him wearing regular kimonos.

If possible could somebody send me a message with this? Thanks.

I'd recommend reading the manga since it's really good, but if you just want answers to your questions, read below.

Shinji was already dead in the movie and was a reanimated doll. I think the movie shows his corpse turning into one. He never comes back. Sakura is also dead and came back as a (crazy) doll in the manga. It was said she can't be saved, but who knows?

Shirou is getting darker skin and white hair from overusing his magic. The movie also shows it happening around the time he uses UBW. The card is what enabled him to master his powers but it's not the reason his appearance is changing since he doesn't have it anymore. He fought one more time when he was freed but the girls decided he shouldn't fight anymore because overusing his magic is destroying his body.

I'm curious to see what they'll have to show us with a likely eventual flashback on that meeting. It does of course make sense why Pandora is cooperating with the Ainsworths. Finding a way to open that box will free her from her duty. But also the clock is kind of ticking. What happens to her if humanity is wiped out? Is she freed from her duty since people are gone or would she be trapped as this immortal existence for all eternity? No hope of ever finding rest since no people exist to open the box for.

She hates humanity, but if she doesn't open that box (and presumably save humanity) then she may be trapped in a never ending existence for all time. Which would make her life even more tragic than it already is.

Oh boy Illya just bumped up to final ascension OG Saber. She's getting serious now! Time for Julian to prepare for a beatdown. The cloak has been busted out!

But yeah this was all about the main girls stepping up in their own way. Kuro was very much who she is. Oh sure everyone's story is tragic, the situation is terrible, but she's still not letting anyone sacrifice Miyu for that reason. Miyu's future has value and her brother's wish will be protected. Of course she still fits in silly moments trying to play everyone's big sister . But she's one person that won't be shaken by this.

Illya of course had a major role on her side with Julian. Going the classic route that while she is just a kid, she still sees something he's blinded himself to. He doesn't really want Pandora to die and he's stifling his own desires. His anger coming as much from how he hates the situation and himself for giving up his ideals. It's clear as day for Illya that Julian doesn't really want any of this and she's not going to lose to someone that conflicted.

Miyu as well is showing her growth. It may be an imitation, but she's also doing what she can. She can draw strength from those that have supported and wished for her happiness. If even someone like her brother who lost everything at one point can still wish for another person's happiness then surely there is something more honest in Pandora. Probably something along the lines of "wanting to live a normal life, wanting to be loved, wanting to believe in others, etc."

Anyways, the story is moving along. Some nice bits of action and the main cast pushing back against the despair. They've all grown enough not to give into something like this.

I love that Kuro wasn't shaken one bit by Pandora's speech. Very much in character. Illya and Miyu were great too, though their part was closer to a more typical shounen main character lecture.

Looks like Ilya finally unlocked Saber's final ascension art.

All three girls had strong moments. Kuro was as blunt as usual, Miyu drew strength from her brother and Ilya, used the fact that she's a kid to poke a hole in Julian's logic.
