I just haven't pulled the trigger on one because they don't usually come in my native Portuguese layout. I could do with the British layout probably but it would cost me a bit to lose keys like ç or ã which are rather important in my language.

I must say I'm also slightly envious of that hoard of goodies (and you got to meet some celebrities as well!). Actually, I'm also curious as to where you got this stuff from (i.e. the name of the convention)?

Speaking of conventions, this is what I managed to snag from this year's today's SMASH! (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) convention:

  • A free Gundam- built in a Hobbyco-sponsored workshop event. Apparently, they had about 850 sets of these, and about 6000 were in attendance of the event. Although, it seemed that the Gundam-building workshop wasn't as popular as last year, since few people knew about it- it still was very popular though from the looks of things.
  • 2 K-ON! Nendoroid Petites (1 of 11 lucky prize set)- Got Ricchan and Mugi (AUD15 for both). On closer inspection, they unfortunately seem to be bootlegs due to the poorer quality compared to the K-ON! TBSishop x Lawson LE Nendoroid Petite set I bought about four months ago... I think a friend of mine got the (rare?) number #11- the sad Azunyan in her swimsuit (that box was actually different- it was sealed, bought from a different vendor).
  • Weighted Companion Cube Plush (Portal)- Bought from the Gametraders show floor stall. Considering the usual price for one of these (excluding shipping), this was pretty good value, and they sold like hotcakes! AUD35.

I got all this stuff at Anime Expo.

I have a lot more autographs than just LiSA's; I didn't pay for them so I didn't post it, but I guess I paid to get in so I'm not cheating here. xD

Signatures include Yuki Kajiura, Kubota Keiko, Otaki Wakana, Egoraptor, Danny Choo (additional autograph for a friend), Oda Kaori and Kaida Yuriko. I also got a signature from Penn & Teller in Vegas, but where in the heck did I leave that picture now...xD

Went to Ashford and bought a bunch of tea cups and saucers and whatnot. They are lovely, and it's worth every penny.

Because the scale figures usually cost even more?

Woah, you have got some nice books there, particularly Edgar Allan Poe and Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None".

What the heck, your books have awesome covers.

But hey, can't judge a book by its cover.

I still have upwards of twenty to go until my literary "wish list" is empty.

If you're being serious, then I must say that the contents are far more awesome. If you're being sarcastic, then I must say, "..|.,"

If you could, I would have never read Catcher in the Rye, nor would I have bought that same copy of Aesop's Fables.

Luckily, I was being serious- I try not to crack jokes when it comes to proper literature.

I haven't had a copy of Catcher in the Rye for years and years now. However, Aesop's Fables is still mine! Barnes & Nobles to the rescue for my US trip; we don't generally have tons of deals on books here.

Have you read all of Agatha Christie's books? I have all her books-they are tattered and read to shreds, but the beauty lying within it has never aged a day. For some reason, I prefer "timeless books" such as Dickens, Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen to be in used condition. The more battered and tattered it is, the better. I suppose it could be because these books are not affected by the passage of time, and the used condition seems to imply that you are keeping a treasure. Sorry I am rambling off here K thanx bye.
