In this place, of which only a handful amongst the teachers were aware of, Maya was analyzing the unmanned machines that were taken.

"How about you take a rest?"

"Ahh... Orimura-sensei."

Chifuyu walked into the room and threw a can of drink at Maya.

Tasting the Royal Milktea that was passed to her, Maya showed the investigation results on the screen.

"Please look. As expected, they're the upgraded versions of the unmanned machine that appeared before. I'm certain of it."

"And the cores?"

"According to the records before, they're still unregistered."

"...How many did you retrieve?"

"Two of them. The other cores were completely wrecked in battle...what do we do?"

After pondering for a while, Chifuyu answered simply.

"We'll report to the government that all the cores were destroyed."

"Bu-But, that'll mean—"

"Think about it. The IS cores are things any country would desire. If we hand them over, there'll be a lot of unnecessary conflicts."

Chifuyu sounded confident, but according to what she said, it'd mean that the Academy would be exposed to danger.

Okay, there were 5 Golems in total, so if only 2 were left intact then...

1 Golem fought Cecilia/Lingyin, another for Charlotte/Laura, 1 more for [Aegis], and 2 for Ichika/Kanzashi/Tatenashi/Houki.

We know that the last two had their cores destroyed so that leaves only 1 more, my money is on [Aegis].

Since we're not sure how that battle ended, we can't really say how the core was destroyed.

All in all, given enough brutal beatdown the core will give up

Saying that and making a victory pose was the 2nd year, Forte Sapphire. She intended to let her partner handle the unmanned pilot. Though she summoned her IS [Cold Blood], she was just using the [PIC] to float and flip in the air instead of fighting.

"Damn you, Forte. Is that an attitude you should have to your sempai?"

"What are you saying? You should be treating your kouhai gently."

On a side note, just when both of them were bickering, the [Golem III] fired the high intensity laser over.

"Oh my. That seems hot. Hey, go check it out."

"No way. Sempai, please dye your skin brown."

Evade, defend, deflect, spin, sink, stop.

Both of them seemed to be giving a little attitude, but in fact, they were making a bronze wall like defense.

This pair's combination was called [Aegis]. Combining the specialties of both pilots into one to block all attacks.

I just used it as a shortcut for both of them.

@ Demi - Most likely if the exposed cores are attacked enough.

I think all I.S. rep do their job, though Laura is somewhat spartan, she has a point.

Anyway, I forgot what's the name of Silent Zephyr's 1OA, do you remember, Demi?

though if you still haven't given it one, I suggest "Hex Haze" or "Spiral Mind"

Odd coincidence. I named Kazuma randomly since I thought it was cool, but then I realized I needed a reason as to why Ichika would name a kid clone of his "Kazuma". Then I found the name of one of his middle school friends is "Kazuma Mitarashi"

about why I asked the question on if it's only seasoned pilots who take their IS piloting seriously.

It's because I find it odd that despite IS pilot status being a great honor with loads of privileges as well as responsibilities. This implies and was even stated in canon that competition to have a spot at controlling one of 467 units is extremely cut throat. What of those who tried but couldn't make the cut? Or worse, those who made it to the top but whose glory was short-lived?

EDIT: probably the worst. What if girls were bullied by other girls just because they weren't able to operate an IS? I mean they can't operate it like men.

Most of the cast don't really seem to care. Cecilia did, but it's been toned down after Ichika beat her as- Sorry, won her over with his kindness. Laura only cares about strength, Houki said herself she didn't care, Rin only used it as an excuse to see Ichika again, Charlotte most likely doesn't want it and rather have a normal life, Tatenashi still has her org even if she isn't a pilot, Kanzashi's just using it as an excuse to surpass her sister.

Also, I have my friend sending me a joke email after reading Sacred Twins as well as my future ideas.

Seriously? I do not give a damn about catgirls. I want I.S. as close as possible to real robot realms and decided that way while not diminishing the awesome fight.

@Zero: tell your friend this. "Wrong fantasy" and make him read the words on picture again, then tell him what genre IS is =))

Also: So I was wondering. Doesn't it seem like an interesting setting for female OC story? Countries should still have independent training facilities for IS pilots. What about a female protagonist trying to climb up the ladder?
