1) They announced Tone and Chikuma when they discussed about additional Kai form in an interview back on march.
2) They also announced that "2 CA sisters will have a new Kai".
3) There are far way too many similarities, between the twintails, the expression, the bow tie etc.

No matter how you look at it, it is Tone.

Spring Event: "Recon planes, launching!"

0) Judging by the event name, it will be centered around recon planes... ?

1) Ships who are receiving Kai 2: Tone sisters and Bismarck.

2) New remodel item obtained via trading in medals. (1:4 rate). Spring event maps will also give out multiple medals as reward.

3) Recon plane functions will take effect when you achieve air surperiority, especially "total air control".

*groans* So they did go and make medals important. That exchange rate though... If it's 4 medals to 1 remodel item, this guarantees that the guys who did 1-5 and 5-5 last month already have a (painful ahahaha, 5-5 hurts) advantage.

I don't even bother tring to do 5-5 I tried like to 2 times and all my girls got royally hurt. sighs well at least we are suppose to get one remodel item free right ?? anyways ive been wondering this for a while but did they increase the difficulty on map 5-2? I don't recall the map being so hard when I cleared it the first time. granted im not using the same ships as I did when I cleared it but the ships I have now have better equipment and are around the same lvl when I did clear it. ive been going to maps that suppose to drop some hamakaze

They changed the spawns a while back to make it difficult to subcheese, but otherwise it's still the same. Kind of how they added elite CAs to 5-4 when people started using the place for level grinding.

3AM, and for some reason swapping the names, despite I didn't do such mistake the first time.
But speaking of Kai Ni, I sure wish there will be enough extra medals, because if both tone sisters required that special item, it will take quite a while, especially if more special kai form show up in the future.

what recipe do you guys use to get standard carriers? pretty sure I did 15-20 of those and still haven't gotten one from construction

Eh, you can get them at 2-2 (Kaga and Sohryu), and 2-3 (Hiryu). XD

And wait, you don't have Akagi? Or are you one of those who somehow got her sunk?

Like I mentioned, 2-2's boss node (rarely, but at least she's there!) yields Kaga, and 2-3's boss node gives Sohryu and Hiryu. I've gotten all three over the course of either completing the World 2 boss quest (which I use 2-2 for), or simply subcheesing 2-3.

Also you can get light carriers in those places too, and they can help in a pinch.

Truthfully I never had good luck with constructing carriers myself and found myself getting them f4om drops. I gotmy first kaga for 2-2 boss. So if you spam 2-2 enough times yku sbould vet her

I got my second Carrier (so not a real carrier), Hiryuu, off 350/30/400/350 after 2-3 tries.

My first Kaga was off 2-4 when I first cleared it, was a great prize after terrible battles against RNG-sama and enemy BBs

Second Kaga came when I did LSC for Taihou (expensive AA fodder)

Got Taihou after 4 LSC, now I run with Taihou Kai + Kaga Kai + Chiyoda Kai Ni when I need to run carriers (I don't have enough Reppus to secure air superiority with only Kaga and Taihou)

I've had pretty crazy luck with getting carriers, have managed to build Kaga, Sohryu, and Zuikaku after trying just once a day over a couple weeks, and got Hiryuu off my first time clearing 2-3.

On the other hand, ships I don't even want but need for quests like Kinugasa and Abukuma continue to elude me.

I'm missing shoukaku out of the standard carrier stuff, having earned the majority of them through arpeggio E-1.

Kinu, Hachi, Akitsumaru and Mikuma still elude me on the lower end of building.
