I see Charred Knight still hasn't figured out that Schneizel's methods = TAKE THE EASIEST, QUICKEST WAY OUT POSSIBLE WITH WHATEVER I HAVE AVAILABLE, and instead interprets it as mental instability.

I never said anything about whether that's good or bad for a country, I'm saying there's a difference between you sprouting crap and what the character is actually like.

In this case Cornelia's role in the first season was mostly to have her be outsmarted by Lelouch only to be saved by someone usually Suzaku. Only in the season finale does she become competent, dissapear, become competent for the Geass Massacrel, and spend the rest of the series do nothing of worth.

I would feel better if Cornelia could occasionally outsmart Lelouch or she did anything of worth after the Geass massacre.

IIRC Cornelia had Lelouch on the run, and forced Lelouch to resort to extreme measures that caused a lot of collateral damage in hopes of defeating her. I'd say that's pretty exceptional.

Cornelia was the major antagonist in the first season. Being defeated by the protagonist is THE ENTIRE POINT of the antagonist. *Blank stare*

As for Cornelia that was because she had a huge man advantage not due to skill. The only time she showed exceptional skill was her battle with Lelouch which was excellent.
