Anime where a popular guy falls for a plain, nerdy or average girl?
I only started watching anime but I found out that I like stuff such as bokura ga ita. If anyone can give me something similar I would be thankful but please make sure it's realistic and doesn't have any supernatural stuff. A happy ending would be nice too

Nodame Cantabile/Nodame Cantabile: Paris-Hen/Nodame Cantabile: Finale - The focus is more on their lives than the romance, but yeah... the girl is plain and kind of a freak--the guy is talented/handsome.

I will second both Nodame Cantabile and Kimi ni Todoke. I've watched both in their entirety and I really have nothing but good things to say about both of them. Both are very enjoyable romances.
