While I think its an interesting way to approach this story arc and I did enjoy the episode, I find it a little excessive to be making this a three parter.

And that's a very strong hint for things to come.
Well, given that there is one more loop, and that this episode ended about 10-15 minutes before that allotted time, it's fairly easy to guess that there will be only one more Endless Eight episode.
Of course, it will be titled 'Endless Eight' again, with the katakana arrayed in some random fashion when the episode title is displayed.

Can't resist one more good 2ch-ism to pass on regarding this episode, with some good bishoujo-game humour (don't know if it'll translate well):
Spoiler:
Gotta keep a good sense of humour.

Mikuru in the park scene was every bit as epic as I expected from the novel:

*sob* blah blah kinsoku jikou blah blah *sob* kinsoku jikou blah blah *sob* blah blah kinsoku jikou *sob* *sob* blah blah kinsoku jikou blah blah *sob* kinsoku jikou...

LOL...

Yes, that was epic indeed. I was looking forward to that 'censorship'.

Also, it was a little difficult to tell from here, but did the animation quality look better than the other S2 episodes to any of you?

I haven't watched the episode to know about execution, but from reading through here and clicking every spoiler tag (already read the novel anyway) I think I'm happy they're handling it the way they are. It's not something I would have wanted, asked for, or predicted beforehand, but now knowing that they decided to go through with it, I love the pure idea.

I hope it goes well.

I'm surprised I can't find this online. It usually is available within minutes of ending.

Disappointed for some reason. RAW from sos-dan out faster than last week but i will wait for [a.f.k]

I was translated Endless eight to my native language for first half (from novel) it fit with first episode but for second half take more than 1 episode, this make me disappoint.

I will come back rate this episode after i watched it but for sure it would "not" be 10/10.

Okay, this is cool while it's lasting but if they do this AGAIN they're going to lose all credibility.

I just relistened to Nagato's explanation. She distinctly says 15,498 in japanese. What we just watched was actually attempt number 15,498, not 15,497.

We're outside of canon it seems.

Curioser and curioser...

WHAT? ANOTHER EPISODE ON THIS?
I'm enraged. We could've started "The Sighs" by next week already.

Wow.

Okay, nevermind, the whole season is gonna be Endless Eight now.

I give up, I'm done, that's it, I quit, fuck it.

I think I see the rationale for a three-parter(or more) with regards to this story. These days, we see lots of two-parter-story arcs in anime. And since the goal of the show was to make it ''Endless", the producers will certainly endeavour to make us, the audience who are so used to two-parters feel the same. If a certain number of episodes are enough to make us feel the uneasiness(and boredom, for Nagato) that Kyon and the rest feels, it will definitely be enough for their aims. The problem is figuring out that number, and my answer is 3.

Well, save those who watch primetime shounen series, that is.
