there are three images that are floating around. One of them gives away that Alto didn't die!

Gotta chime in on this thread before this episode starts. I'm so ready for the Kawamori Über-Troll that will have fans howling in disbelief.

Listening to all the Frontier songs at least once...I will be sorely disappointed if there was no music to the battle choreography.

Hey, we all saw Alto's VF blown to smithereens with our own eyes. So, the likeliness of Alto being dead is really high. Unless, of course he was folded somewhere else thanks to Sheryl's Fold Quartz Earring. Or maybe Ranka manage to nick him out of the VF in time and hid him on one of her pockets.

well it wouldnt make sense anyway if alto remains dead. i mean he might go down as the most tragic lead in mecha anime in that he died, and not even in a remotely heroic way (especially if the vajra kiills them all)

Not to mention that they left some huge loopholes for him to have survived.

Sheryl and Michael's VF were blown to smithereens by the exact kind of shot and they survived due to the autoeject despite being a rookie and unconscious respectively. Alto's even survived to linger around a bit before exploding. He'll be fine, assuming the ejection system worked and he's not suicidal enough to override it. He knows his flying coffin is completely outmatched by the VF-27 even when not critically damaged.

He most likely left his fighter in his EX-Gear when he looped around the carrier. If you look at the scene, he stays there suspiciously long after looping around.

Well, after a hiatus, I'm back. And I have to agree with you here. Until I see a dead body, I, Meine Damen und Herren, cannot believe Herr Saotome has really left the stage permanently. This is anime, after all. Hora certa, mors incerta.

Oh, and a really stupid leftover from Episode 24. Herr Saotome had a callsign, Sagittarius 1. Rings a bell?
