The show was ok. I think it never quite managed to live up to the standard set by the first episode. There was some good emotions there in having Komi really open up about how difficult things had been and the back and forth. It had a few more moments like that like the aftermath of the yandere attempting to murder Tadano. But otherwise that was it.

Not that the style of show is bad. Stuck to those skits with confidence. It was a pretty comfortable show. Few real "wow" moments, but not many terrible ones either.

Decent overall.

I watched this show with a Discord group.....and every time Yamai popped up, we were all yelling "DIE".

Honestly, she drags the anime down.

...can't say I particularly like most of the other characters that much either. I liked Komi's family though and Komi herself.

Her =.= to 0.0 face is very cute.

Katai-kun voice was perfect the first chapter was so funny, it would've been perfect without yamai but oh well.

I thought there was a second season thread or this one should be in the current anime section?

the fantasies chapter was one that I was looking foward, it didn't disappoint. The nakanaka fantasy was the best.

Okay, final thoughts.

To me, Komi-san peaked consistently in Season 1, when the circle was still small and our titular character was still starting her 100-friend crusade. Season 2 did have its great moments, but it's not as consistent as the first season, and one such potential peak was ruined by three episodes in a row with a clear animation quality downgrade.

Overall, Komi-san has a good premise but felt the best on a shorter run where a handful of friends are constantly helping out Komi in her communication problems. As she got friends with more people, the more difficult it is to juggle the cast, and it may come to a point where characters may take precious screentime from the core cast. For that reason, I'm apprehensive about picking up the manga.

Still, it was a good experience. Ganbare, Komi-san.
