I heard Brian K. Vaughan is very politically correct kind of writer if it's true I can't imagine story about Space Nazi fighting bigoted Imperialists and (bunch of people caucht in between) right.

I don't know, Sunrise has doubled down on all things UC.
Narrative Hathaway's Flash Unicorn 2 (whatever the hell that's supposed to be) It would make sense to push the original Gundam series in a huge multi-million dollar movie in America. |

That is the thing, Original UC, the feddie barely were better than Zion with their corruption and negligence(even Revil was bordeline facist with his speeches too), a writer like him unless keep that grey vs black will try to whitewash a side..that will not be nice.

I can't help but wonder what definition of the term "politically correct" is being used here. If anything I've found the "both sides are just as bad as each other" narrative to be an annoyingly "politically correct" tendency in Japanese science fiction. Sometimes taking a clear stance on a subject is considered "controversial".

I assume they are talking about the US version of political-correctness.
I personally have no problem as long as the writing is good. Or at least good enough for me to have a good time watching the movie instead of taking me out of it.

That's the thing about Gundam really: even within UC, there's enough AU going around that the Hollywood version wouldn't really be anything different than what the Japanese have already been doing (see For the Barrel for the extreme version ).

Though yeah, G-Saviour wasn't the best in terms of production values, going so far as to reuse Starship Troopers props

I'm still hoping that this movie will be AU instead of UC coz I don't think they have all the resources to pull off UC (so far).
Insisting on adapting UC is an unnecessary risk-taking. I hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot by making the wrong decision.
