The ID:INVADED staff will be working on this show (https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/new...-anime/.170317) and from what I've read elsewhere, OZ is founded by ex-NAZ staffers who worked on the above anime.

Episode 1 is pretty amusing and the characters are already showing some personalities. I like how pretty colorful the visual is despite being in post-apocalypse setting.

Also, people being infected by rust epidemic reminds me of the similar misfortune plaguing the robot communities in Casshern Sins. But, how can humans rust in this world? Is it literal rust or just what it looks like?

The environmental art style along with the pacing has me optimistic, hope the narrative holds up at least somewhat decently.

The setting is definitely doing all the heavy lifting but I thought the episode was interesting enough.

Rust is also a fungus that affects plants and considering people think mushrooms are the source of rust it's definitely a reference to that.

Crunchyroll also by the way.

THe first ep. was a bit heavy on dialogs (not that I expected) but just as I hoped it will be and ep. 2 PV is intriguing.

Satisfying premier. So it is a test on how long this quality can last.
I must give credit to all the mushrooms. I was wondering how they are going to handle all those fungus, and they made it without looking dumb.

I quite enjoyed that. Gainax DNA is clearly visible, though it actually had a bit of a Kekkai Sensen vibe (director also worked at Bones).

Watched the first episode and I was hooked on not only the visuals, but the post-apocalyptic setting is very interesting that it's really different from the usual isekai light novels.

Can't wait for the next episode on why Bisco is spreading mushrooms across Japan.

Without having even read the original work it is obvious that the mushrooms are actually a defense or cure for the rust but the evil government is keeping it secret for evil government reasons.

Pretty much my thoughts as well right now. It would be interesting if that wasn't the case though.

"The bastard mobilized the damn hippos!"

Two episodes in and Sabikui Bisco already is in the running for funniest line of the season.

Turn the giant crab & hippos into mechas and we'd have ourselves a Zoids anime .

This is the weirdest show I've seen in a while. Giant crabs. Giant snails turned into helicopters. People ridding hippos. Arrows that instantly grow giant mushrooms.

Of course, this has an easy explanation: the author obviously loves shrooms, and he might have eaten a bit too much writing this.

And not just the writer. I would include the director as well. Obvious that some people have been consuming lots and lots of psychedelic mushrooms.
