Will the anime even get that far? I have no idea what chapter that is, but it seems that there will be a few anime only episodes to fill up space. Maybe it's good that I haven't continued the manga yet, so I won't have expectations of any sort for this second season.

So far, we already have a Witches arc from season one and a Mizore arc in the manga, so I expect to see more character-specific arcs in the future. Me? I want an Inner Moka arc, and by that I mean an arc mainly on her. And it should be properly adapted in animated form.

Yeah, all three supporting girls have developed. Actually, I don't see any development at all in the lead characters, and more importantly, it doesn't affect the show much. Neither Tsukune or Moka have changed from episode 1 in the first season. Yes, Tsukune is now confident being in the school, but that's just his attendance having been legitimized. We've seen so little of him this year, he really doesn't need to be there at all. We could stand a mannequin in the corner and write his name on it. That would give the girls something to fight over. Moka is the same, both personalities. The supporting characters have changed quite a bit (although Yukari's was unfortunately temporary ). I just find that interesting.

Well, I just mentioned the main characters, since they are the main characters after all.

The manga might probably be more detailed on them than the anime, but even so... nothing that terribly big or anything. That's why I'm hoping for more character-specific arcs down the line.

Well as a manga reader and anime viewer you can greatly see the development of Mizore in season1 manga and in the anime if you do both at the same time. Since Gonzo cooked up something original in the MILF episode, instead of the one that is in the manga, which would developed her character more.

It's like the anime balances the girls developments as opposed to the manga, the author Ikeda develops one character better than the other, take for example Ruby who RARELY appears in the manga unlike in the anime who's given screen time every episode and her dress up/cosplay character development, same goes for the other girls. Since most people base it on anime the character development is gonna be balanced.

Well, due to time change here in the US, I missed the majority of the episode... but basically, it's just cut and paste the rest of the series, this time involving gangs. That's all you need to know

Kokoa gets the boot this time (Things appear to be going anime-original now, so I won't even compare things)... guess I'm going to have to wait for the RAW to be put up at my usual place in about an hour. Only 2 or 3 more weeks to go before plot re-surfaces somehow

Kyoto-bound, and Ruby's our bus tour guide. She does make that uniform look good. Kokoa continues trailing behind - Chiwa Saito's doing a pretty good job using both her cutesy and her angry voice with Kokoa.

There is a hot springs scene. And plenty of Moka and Tsukune getting lovey with each other - at least, until the monster yakuza attacks. Cue counter-yakuza tactics by Ruby via manga. The fight was fairly entertaining, and I must say the cut skirt look looks really good on Moka.

Kokoa's moment in the spotlight was cute, and I loved how they modded Moka's henshin sequence to reflect her new wear. It looks lovely on her. Gratuitous use of character songs as always. And I don't mind that.

Next week: Bathroom + Vampire.

It also depends on the starting point. Every girl starts out more or less as "normal" girls with some problems.

But Mizore in particular starts out as an introverted stalker. Naturally, a lot of room for potential improvement there, or rather something really has to change for her character... anime or manga. I'd say that Yukari is right there with her as one of those who initially has problems getting along. Overall, still balanced when you look at the bigger picture and where the characters currently are in terms of growth.

This has been discussed multiple times in this topic, and it has not come to fruition not even once. That's the only reference.

She started out in the anime and in the manga as Tsukune's fan of his articles not a stalker. Then slowly she began to be a stalker, but not yet popping out of somewhere.

In terms of growth and development of character any anime balances every girl in this type of genre to make them all likeable.

Since in the manga Mizore wasn't really anti-social it was the coach teacher, that made her that way. He wanted to molest and harass Mizore the reason why she doesn't like going to school.
