Again a lot of German words in the new OP (in the preview it is the part after 0:30).

I try to listen to it now for 99999 times until I can vaguely say what it is supposed to say, but with that background noise I could make some mistakes...

Someone who understand Japanease could help too to translate the first part...

OK my first attempt:

In the Japanease part before 0:30 you can get a glimpse of a few German words before the music fades out: "Wir höhren und wir... [fade out]" which means in English "We listen and we... [fade out]"

Then after the 0:30 mark we hear some German sentences (very broken German at some points though it seems) I marked the parts that I feel unsure about in Italic and red:

"Und aufs neue geht es um den Sieg! Dies ist der Eskorter. Um der Freiheit, hört ihr diesen Wind, für den nächsten Kampf!"

Translating this is a pain since it doesn't make much sense in German (escpacially the 2nd sentence), and you usually don't say "Eskorter" but instead "Eskorte", though I definitly heard an "A" at the end of the word which is often written as "er" at the end of a word, but I'll try to give it a go anyway:

"And once again it is all about the victory! This is the escort! For the freedom, do you hear this wind, for the next fight!"

I actually feel quite confident for the parts that I did not mark in Italic, but the ones that are Italic... either the creators don't know a damn about the German language or I just misheard these parts.

I also already played with the thought, that it is not "Wind", but "Weg" instead (which means "way").

So if anyone who understands German as well help me with this? This is really not easy.

Sorry for double post.

EDIT: an alternative for "hört ihr diesen Wind" could be "hegt ihr diesen Weg", which means "treasure/follow this way/method/idea/ideology" this actually makes more sense but it doesn't sound like that was said

All i could hear is: "...neue...gehts...auf...Sieg...Hier is der Eskorte...frei...Weg...für den nächsten Kampf".

While we're on the topic of German in the songs.
Of this preview thingy. Am I the only one that understood in the track 'attack on titan' "Ist das wirklich Leben?!"?
I dunno why. As often as I listened to that one already, it always sounds like that to me

01 attack ON titan << NOT used in any episode so far
This was used in episode 2 BTW. It was during the appearance of the Armored Titan without the vocals.

OP 1 is superior to the second one.

Judge it after you heard the whole Opening, which, as far as I know, was not released to the public in it's complete form yet.

And then I realized it meant Eren・Mikasa・Armin....

It's also used in episode 9, at the end, while Eren is hearing his father ^^

hey guys, I really want to order Shingeki no Kyojin soundtrack, could you guys recommend me some online store with reasonable price? I currently live in Canada.

Edit: Thanks saurers123 =), shipping rate cost is what I afraid the most, but I will look into it =)

I bought some OSTs at cdjapan.co.jp. I think it's reasonable for me since most of the soundtracks I buy tend to cost like that. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=PCCG-1351 but the shipping rates tend to rocket high depending on whichever you choose. It's been awhile since I've bought one in there though.

I tried to listen into the 1st OP again, because I wanted to find out what the choir is singing after "sie sind das Essen und wir sind die Jäger", and at first it seemed like they would simply say "ale, ale ,ale-o, ale-o, wir sind Jäger [x2]".

But when I listened for long enough I suddenly started to hear "Palin-, Palin- Palindrom, Palindrom, wir sind Jäger [x2]"

And now I am not sure if any of this is right at all... ale, ale-o is just some form of cheering, while Palindrom refers to words that don't change when you mirror them/ read them backwards, like for example the name Anna is one. When you spell Anna backwards you get annA: The order of the letters is still the same.

OK, I think I got it and it actually fits into the series well:

I think it is 2 different things:
1. "Armut! Armut! Armut nur! Armut, doch wird sind Jäger!" which translated means "poverty! poverty! only poverty! poverty but we are hunters!"
2. "Panik! Panik! Panik nur! Panik, doch wir sind Jäger!" which translated means "panic! panic! only panic! panic but we are hunters!".
This would fit well with Attack on Titan, escpacially if you follow the process that the three main characters had to go through. "Poverty" and "Panic" seem to be good words to describe the first titan attack that they experienced and what all the civilians feel like with all the panic and the food shortage which led to a lot of poverty, while "but we are hunters" shows that they have become stronger to fight the titans.

So now i can actually complete the lyrics (for the Japanease part i take them from the shingekinokyojin wikia):

Panik! Panik! Panik nur! Panik, doch wir sind Jäger!
Panik! Panik! Panik nur! Panik, doch wir sind Jäger!
Panik! Panik! Panik nur! Wir sind die Jä---ger!
and now the translation (Japanease part of the translation again taken from the shingekinokyojin wikia):

Thank you very much for your efforts, good sir! The vocals aren't jumbled in my brain every single time that I listen to the OP now (which is more than a few dozens of times). It's even more fulfilling even if I only know a bit of German, haha!

I'll try to do that also when the full version of OP1 is released and also for OP2.

Also it seems my discovery has finally departed into the depths of the internet On youtube I got marked as spam for posting it in the comments though Maybe because I was a bit careless about my wording... or because I used the words animsuki or VLC which made me appear like an ad spam or people prefered "sex with the bees and the eagles" But I probably simply forgot that Youtube is full of self-proclaimed "trolls".

^Those "special effects" were hilarious

There were again some German lines that I could hear, so as soon as it will be out, I'll get back to work. But before that, the 2nd OP in tv size will be realeased, so I will take that on first, as it seems that no one else in the internet is interested in translating the German parts...
