Sexuality of MC is ALWAYS important, in mediums like manga and LN.

If it's not true like you think, post some manga titles that fits that description.

Most anime and manga don't deal with sexuality at all. The exception are those that have it as a main theme, like Hourou Musuko and stuff like that.

I had been pretty iffy on this series before the preview came out, but now that I've actually gotten a look, I think I'll chalk it into the looking pretty cool category. It was probably just all of the Oda Nabunaga laughing maniacally while guns made shooty shooty kapow, but domanit, it looked cool.

I came into this show blind and just kept going WTF!? A pretty WTF setting. It's kind of senseless but I'm so watching this. At least next episode ie.

LOL - similar situation here. I saw the announcement at ANN that it was going to air and just watched it on a lark. No idea what it was going in. At this point, I like the artstyle but I'm kind of going WTF on why it looks like Whistler's Mother is the head of some secret anti alien group put together by a space rabbit (going by the fact the MC's seem to be re-incarnations, that really does seem to be Whistlers mom of all people)

. I'm going to have to watch this next week just to see where this might be going

Yikes, the voice acting for Shio is really rough. Hope she improves because right she sounds so inexperienced that probably even non-japanese speakers could notice it.

I like it, and also showcasing historical figures?

I like it more than Nobunaga the Fool. Girl is genki, a military otaku which is rare, and show doesn't seem to be hiding what kind of show its going to be.

Looking forward to the rest of the cast.

To be honest I kinda agree.

This series makes no bones to be anything other than it is. It is a battle anime against weird creatures based on a crazy idea with no pretensions. Idiotic. I kinda like it, actually.

Dunno if it will be enough for me to follow it, but not bad as a guilty pleasure kinda series - or so it seems at the moment.

She's a fun main characters. Having an awesome female lead in a shounen type story is so rare that I'll take what I can get. Also, Yuri goggles activated!

I came thinking that this was a light shonen "gotta catch em all" anime where MC (a boy) gets to collect special powers from historical characters.

Got a female MC, a dark setting and crazy powers. I'll keep watching.

Also, all girls school != yuri, but there seems to be potential yuri.

Is that a common class trip for japanese high schools? Usually you just see Kyoto, Okinawa, or Hokkaido.

Well, if it turns out to be a hidden gem, i.e. it will get better and better, then that would be ideal. At the moment I am optimistic, but cautious.

And the remark about giving NobunaGUN "a shot" next week was not a deliberate pun, I hope?

Hm... I still like the character designs a lot, and the main character herself seems fun, but otherwise this was a lot less entertaining than what I hoped it would be. But I'll stick with it for a while.
