I switched the bodies of my nendos and received Saber-sensei XD

You can watch a bit more here.

Do you like switching figurines parts as well?

Not really, it was a pain in the *ss to put them together at the first place. Plus switching around the parts might damage them / loosen them up, causing the nendo to fall apart

Only for Nendo...

But for figma, nope.

Does anyone have the Fate Stay/Night "Trade Figures" from Good Smile Company? Specifically, these: 2005 Set

I'm trying to decide whether to buy them or not, but all the ones I see with pictures other than stock photos don't look nearly as good. Do the real versions generally look slightly different from those stock images, or are the ones I'm looking at knock-offs?

I wish I did have them, those are nice looking.

I've noticed other figures where stock photos show clear bases, but the actual releases have a different base, colored or textured in some way. I think the best you can do is find someone selling them on ebay, who has a good reputation, and gaurantees them to be 100% authentic. Like this.

If I had the money to spare right now, that would be gone already.

Yeah, that's my main thing right now is the money. I found after searching through the FSN subforum that the actual bases are definitely white and not clear.

I was kind of hoping they were clear just so I'd know if these others I saw were knock-offs. But they also had huge reputation. I hate eBay sometimes.

And since I'm bitching about eBay anyway: was about to buy some Conan figures, was merely reading up on the shipping policy. In the time it took me to read that and click buy, someone else had bought them. SO much hate. They were half the price of the other auctions. =(

In what way are the ones you are looking at slightly different? I have this set and they look pretty much the same as in the stock photo aside from some slightly darker coloring on some of the figures. (They also ended up looking much nicer and were much less of a hassle to put together than the other set, aside from Ilya anyway).

I had no idea what these were worth though, I think maybe it's time to actually put mine in a case, heh.

It's really hard to describe. The easiest ones that come to mind were seeming extra shiny (might've just been from the flash) and Saber. Her neck seemed noticeably longer, and her sword/hand angled differently. It wasn't too much, but just things that threw up a couple of flags for me since I've yet to buy figures other than in person.

Would it be possible for you to snap a picture of at least Saber (armor), Ilya, and Rin? Thanks in advance!

Well, as I implied I haven't really taken very good care of these figures and there's some very noticeable dust particles on them in these pics but they should still be decent enough to use as a comparison. Also, when I made that previous post, I had only been looking at Rin and Ilya; you are correct in that Saber's arm is definitely at a different angle. In fact, she looks different enough that I had to check to see if I'd even grabbed the right figure. I am positive these are authentic though, as they came completely sealed in a case of individual boxes with the Type Moon seal of authenticity. It may just be that she's leaning a bit too far forward or that I didn't put her together properly.

Anyway, pics are here, linked because file size is way too big:

I wouldn't be able to play the Hgame because of the language, but she is very cute. I watched the video on the game home page (the YouTube 720p version), it looks pretty nice. And that Figma blog is excellent. The pages just keep going and going.

I found some more images of that Fate/Stay Night collection. Saber in her pajamas is really cute. I haven't seen that one before.

That was the secret figure, and now GSC is releasing the Petit Nendo set with the same poses

I wonder if Archer is going to be the secret among the Petits

It would be awesome to have both sets

Word is she's a shop exclusive. I kinda want her so I could swap out the head with my other Figma. Morning after Saber? Damn right I want it.

I wasn't sure about posting these four, since only two of them were in actual anime series (and even then, one of those used a different character model at that time)... but, still.

The one on the left is a re-deco of a design seen in the same show as that on the right, but for a character from an earlier series.

No, he doesn't come with that sword!

That last guy's alt mode is pretty damned cool...

There are a few more pics I have elsewhere, too.

*Drools*

Range Murata's artwork is awesome.

Has anyone ever seen this figure of Tamaki Kousaka? (scroll down a little for the photo shoot)

I know the one of Manaka Komaki, with the bed, in the group shot, is made by Wave as part of their DreamTech line, but I can't find that figure of Kousaka anywhere. I'm assuming that all of those are from the same manufacturer. Can anyone tell if they are?

[edit]- Ah-hah! I found it (unoff. kit), along with a very cool figure database web site.
