And live-action Asian soap operas and K-Pop are cheaper to produce yet more profitable than anime.

You could be right, given the sordid situation in Italy... Dynit is risking themselves too far that it could break them completely.
But right now..... Madoka is #2 right now in Amazon Italy.

Hmm, I'm still somewhat skeptic. Given how the licensors have handled the market up to now in Italy I'm not sure if it's going to work.

You know there was something in the TVTropes forum about clothes, I know frilly clothes are impractical but what you think about this in regards to this series. Granted, I know the whole Ume Aoki designs was just to bait in fans but still if it were real life, how would those clothes work out?

The clothes are made of magic, to be fair. Physics can go fuck itself.

Madoka Magica Manga coming to france

It's not the anime but I guess it's better than nothing.Kinda confirms my thought that the manga market is doing a whole lot better than the anime market.

It's a great news !!
But I'm pretty confident that an anime release will be revealed soon.

In this clip, the seiyuu is the same lady who played Mami, and she drop-kicks the boy into the creek.

The US, Italy, France... Lucky!
There's no anime licensing in my country (and not likely to appear in the next dozen years), but the surviving Russian anime distributor (thankfully, it was the best one to have survived) does seem to consider buying Madoka rights. Problem is, in the wake of the general DVD sales crisis, they now play it safe with a twiston the "public license" term - basically running a poll among the clients of an online shop and thus judging how many people are ACTUALLY ready to buy the release. Among the TV shows, MadoMagi remains the last one in the list so far...

From here: http://yaraon.blog109.fc2.com/blog-entry-8336.html#more Gen's message of acceptance:

Quote:
I feel deeply honored to win this prize. The scenario for this work was established based on the sensibilities cultivated in the seedy world of adult games in a society that values fastidiousness. I think that everyone who have this work a good evaluation understands the concept that the lotus flower blooms from the nutrients in the mud of the marsh, and this understanding makes me feel a sense of renewed joy. All of the people who believe in the Freedom of Expression guaranteed in the Constitution should be able to create works freely without restriction in the society, which I hope to realize.
