What a shame...?

I really am confused. I think that article jumps to conclusions. I watched the little interview, and I honestly thought it was extremely vague. Did Efron meant the movie was too early "to the point where it’s more than likely not going to happen.” or did he meant his involvement in the movie? I'm going to wait for a solid statement before I really have anything to say, preferably from the actual studio itself.

haha yes while at he same time oh crap. this movie could of helped the us in the long run by building up the hype about FMP and getting us all a fourth season but still i prefer it not to be made than ruined by having Zac Efron in it.

Well there is no oh crap. Imagine if they make the movie and it turns out to be a HUGE EPIC fail. Instead of building hype it would bring it down.

I would add to that, that Sousuke blows up "accidently" the plane zan efron is flying with the ARX 8, in order to save Chidori that was being taking in a helicopter...

Is there any news about the new novel coming out soon? I just read the novels that I could find for download, and read the summaries for the rest... I'm getting pretty antsy for a proper FMP fix.

I believe that you're all very biased... you hate him because he was in musicals, and etc., and refuse to believe he could like manga.

Newsflash... he was A MAJOR UNPOPULAR GEEK in high school. And before that. Look it up. I'm honestly not surprised to hear that he would be interested in manga around that time.

I admit, I do like Zac. But from a completely UNBIASED standpoint - not taking my fangirlism into consideration, or my love for FMP, he could kind of LOOK the part.

They'd just need to rough him up more and make him more rugged looking, plus get the signature "x" scar in, and he could become a passable Sousuke.

I'm just concerned at how he'd act it out though. Then again, I can't really think of anyone else who could pick up the role.

While I'm afraid FMP could get slaughtered in the process of making this live action movie... I have to admit, I'm for it.

I'm really quite in for anything NEW and FMP while in wait for the last novel to come out - and for there to be a season 4.

I don't really see what more damage could be done anyways... they've already picked up the rights, and if you don't want to watch it, don't... it's that easy. It wouldn't be shaming FMP's name, because the anime and manga and novel series' are already great on their own... their greatness could withstand the small blemish of a poorly done live action movie.

Plus, if you get famous actors in the Live Action movie, this will attract a new audience... more fans means more will get interested in the series, therefore leading to more sales of the anime/manga franchise, therefore pushing Shouji Gatou to get the last novel out, and the animators to get their butts moving to work on Season 4! Money talks, people!

So there's my "the glass is half full" opinion on that.

Anyways, yeah. New novel? When?

ETA: Crap. Just read the sticky. So, according to my calculations... my great great grandchildren will be able to see how the story ends -_-

Not really. Doenst matter if you have the craziest top hollyword actors in a movie, if the movie itself is crap, then you are killing the franchise. Look at what happend to dragonaball. And dont tell me that , yah unknow actor or any of that crap. The movie sucked, plain and simple regardless of who the actors were. I dont hate zac efron, i myself like all HSM. I just hate him playing Sousuke, that is all. It is a completely unbiased point of view. He could be good for other roles, but not Sousuke.

And about the new novel, NOONE knows. Check www.gatoh.com and see for yourself. He has not revealed anything new, so we are pretty much the same as you. However, i do sugget you dont read the summaries and try to find the translated novels instead. If you want, pm me and i can email them to you, cept 1-3. Reading the complete novel is much more rewarding and satisfying than just a plain summary, trust me i know form experience. Althought Hunterseeker does some CRAZY good summaries that are more of a short novel than summary hehehe.
