Despite having fewer entries this month (still, 30 is nothing to sneeze at), they were all very well done and it was really tough to choose. In the end I picked these three:

25. konstargirl and mimigirl



Collab signatures can be difficult to do. Two minds working on one project sounds great on paper but in practice the results can be...less than satisfying. I think both of you did a great job coming together and creating one focused entry, and much of my vote is based on that belief. It fits the theme well, the colors and blending are good, and the text, while a little unoriginal, does set the tone for the piece. To nitpick, I see a lot of signatures using that "fake paragraph" text/brush, and I feel that in this case it wasn't really needed.

I generally don't like monotone signatures, but the stock you chose really nails this months theme imo. The arrows work really well with the lack of color, if there was color they probably would have been distracting. I can't say I'm a fan of the "printed" look of the image and the text feels a little redundant, but the package is greater than the parts. Nice job.

31. crazyhorse



The idea of using a swing is unique among this months entries, and even though there were many entries that used tears, yours really fit (even if they defy physics slightly :P) and the whole thing creates a sad image one can empathize with. It must have been hair pulling working on it, but the effort was worth it in my opinion. Well done.

Ok, I can't help but say this.

Rikers entry reminds me of one of those puzzles were you try and move around all the images in a square and try to rearrange them to make the correct image. I know, it's silly and weird, but I can't help but think that every time I see someone try and link it.

Theme vote, any mention of "that person" or "that event" works on me like a charm...Or in this case, it works on me like an peeling onion. And just like somebody else said, you were good enough to not rely on animated tears of a girl and that is far better than what I am.

Seriously, Gin-sama have appeared in every single SOTM. It is a tradition that cannot be forgotten I say! Any ways this is an artistic vote, nice composition, slick animation, and the best part is, this sig actually triggers your imagination. The red font was kind of distracting, I know that you are going for the impact/contrast, but maybe a different font would be better.

And here's the technical vote. I won't believe anybody else can pull out something like this other than you.(Absolutely no pun intended) The only problem I have is maybe that the sig is a little too technical, but that's just me, and you are the all-controlling/all-powerful bald god so don't mind it.

Nice lighting, good colours, it gets the message across. However, there can only be three votes so in a sense, it really is pretty sad.

This one is kind of weird because once I looked carefully at it, everything is perfect, but while in a list, it doesn't stand out as much as it should. maybe add in some contrast would help.

The idea of a swing is so unique and seducing, my only nitpick would be that the foreground has a somewhat low quality.
