I hope they can successfully potray the tragedy of war with this new movie.
Like make something like uh...Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers. If its going to be based on the original MSG it better have at least 3 hrs of movie time...or be a trilogy. |

I really don't like the idea of live-action.anime and film are two diffrent things. What is acceptable in an anime is not in a movie.I think that even if it is more than a rumor it
will fail unless of course you have exemples of success.Or they will have to make so much changes that it will nothing to do with the original show. It's not their fault,it's just that I don't think it's possible to combine good actors, good story and realistic images(how they look and what's on it).A combination that is necessary to make an acceptable gundam live-action movie.

a 10 hour mini-series... that would rock so incredibly much if it had a good director, good actors, a good CG team and a damn lot of money behind it.
I want Elijah Wood to be Amuro xD He so could pull of the angsty boy thing and he looks like him for god's sake... but I'd be expecting him to whip out the one ring at any moment ^^ |

Live action movie? Yeah, it'll suck. If anything, I'd like to see a side-story of something other than the One Year War, or the CE series'. Maybe a different pilot fighting in the Gryps Conflict, or a Londo Bell pilot fighting against Neo Zeon. Hell, even a G Gundam side story would be interesting. I'm just kinda tired of the overhype of the CE shows, and the way they're beating the dead horse called the One Year War. |

My dear Komataguri, let me just remind you of several facts
When Evangelion was released here stateside, the names remained the same. However, when ideas of a live action movie first came up, names were changed during the production phase. In this case, if they are going to be making a Gundam movie based on the original, who can guarantee they won't alter any characters' names? Right, I didn't think so - Tak (As for me, the first live-action gundam was sickening. It almost made me forget why I loved the series) |

Spoiler:
It is, without a doubt, the most boring movie I have ever seen. Excluding the opening scene with an aquatic MS, and the final battle in the last 15 minutes of the movie, the only MS you see is something that looks like a Dom scooting around in the background for half a second. The characters are horribly boring, the story is more ridiculous than G Gundam's, and while the MS are well animated, the cockpits look like something from the One Year War, which was over 150 years before the movie. The suits also move so slowly, they could proably be outmaneuvered by the original Gundam, or even the Char Zaku II, in my honest opinion. So, in conclusion, if you absolutely have to see EVERYTHING in the Gundam library, borrow it from a library or something. There isn't a video store in the world with this turd on it's shelves, and if you actually buy it, like I did when it first came out, you might feel some suicidal tendencies from the horrible waste of your money. You have been warned.
