I really like the ED song. The opening "Ah ah ah" is soothing because the singer's voice sounds rather angelic to my ears.

I am pleased to have watched this series, even though it is a genre in which I do not feel at home. It was lighthearted and encouraging.

It is not easy to be a small god. But with love in your heart and with a strong want to protect those around you, you find that you have unexpected helpers. The wish to bring happiness to many is a religion not easily rejected. Surely this is a happy ending.

According to a tweet by someone who attended Funimation's panel at recent convention, Kamisama Hajimemashita is Funi's most popular streaming title ever. [Source] Based on its popularity, here's hoping that Funimation decides to go for the full home license because as of right now, it's not yet licensed for home video release.

Yes, and in addition to his hawtness he is a pretty complex character,so please do read the manga!

The way the anime ends seem to be pretty open to me and plus what LKK said about KH being the "most popular streaming title ever" and if the Blu-ray/DVD/merchandise sales are good enough, we might get a second season? Let's just keep hoping. It would suck if KH becomes like Skip Beat, Rave Master, etc,etc; animes that are not able to get a sequel despite the mangas' popularity.

In the US and only in relation to Funi's streams not all streams of all time.

I think I read that Kamisama did do the best of all the recent shoujo titles but I don't see it on any best selling lists (manga or anime) in Japan. Hopefully it sold enough to get a second season though.

Kami-sama Hajimemashita

I know it's too late but I wanted share my thoughts about the series.

Definitely I loved the series. I rated it among the most enjoyable romance comedy out there. The chemistry between Tomoe and Nanami is so cute. Plus the supporting cast all adds to the progress of the two couples.

The animation is classic similar to manga but it didn't bother me at all. They really made Nanami's character adorable. I loved her smile.

I rate it 9/10!!!

1st volume did almost 4K, which is really pretty good for a shoujo. A second season might not be a complete impossibility.

Sales were a lot higher than those of the other two shoujo series, weren't they?

I didn't find anything particularly wrong with Shizuku, though. She may not the hottest girl of the three, but she's a good second place, as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, this show was quite entertaining. I didn't think the romance was nearly as forced as it seemed to me in the other two shoujo shows of the Fall season, and I found the characters much more likable as well. Tomoe and Nanami had really good chemistry together and it was fun seeing them bicker over seemingly trivial matters.

At one point, I was considering importing Kamisama Hajimemashite or Tonari no Kaibutsu (with the former more likely), but I ended up deciding that I didn't like some of the changes made to the manga in the adaptation of the former (especially the final story, but also most of the added instances/appearances of the annoying meddler), and just didn't quite like the latter enough to spend the money on the imports.

My limited BD purchases have simply added to the already-high sales numbers of Girls und Panzer and Chuu^2.

Anyone here importing the DVDs or BDs for Kamisama Hajimemashite?

Kamisama Hajimemashita sadly did not garner much support in this year's round of Choice Award nominations. I thought both Nanami and Tomoe deserved a nomination for best main female/male character, and I also nominated the show for best romance. In all these cases I was either the only or one of a few nominators. Did no one else who watched this show share my opinions?
