Heh, I was thinking about trying to fit as many women in as possible, but figured the joke would run on a bit too long, and I couldn't think of good calls for them. Although, a short follow-up sequel could go on like this...

Takamachi family-get together dinner scene:

Momoko: *staring at her daughter* You're what?
Shiro: A phone sex line? I forbid it!
Nanoha: It helps the children, and I live on my own now, dad.
Momoko: Nanoha... there's just one thing I have to say...
Shiro: You tell her, dear. No daughter of mine will be doing THAT.
Momoko: *grabbing her daughters hands with stars in her eyes* Can I help out too? You know i met your father that way; I was raising money for college, and he kept calling me... teehee!

But yeah, the weirdest part of Kaijo's fic is the call with the guy getting off by being 'dressed.' Made me arch an eyebrow until I decided I shouldn't be surprised that there's some one with such a fetish.

... Though I imagine it would be quite the curse of a fetish. Climaxing by getting dressed in the morning, but then you have to change your pants, which would result in you climaxing again, etc etc.

Some of that stuff sounded good and yet...for some reason...one of you guys had just given me a catalyst that would inspire me.

Although my fanfic is Adventure/Drama, I do try to add some innuendos to lighten the mood, yet I'm not sure if I'm succeeding.

The thing I tried to point out with some of my characters is that my main one and his partner tend to sometimes remind Nanoha and Fate of themselves considering one worries about the other. In one of my later chapters, I try to incorporate some stuff regarding the incident that left Nanoha gravely injured. In short, Shiro (my main OC), gets banged up quite a bit that it causes his partner to break down emotionally.

Here's a bit of a preview as to what I'm talking about:

Mizuki: (to Kaname). How is he?
Kaname: Shamal isn't sure about his current condition as of now. He seems to have taken some hard hits, some that would have almost affected his breathing.
Mizuki: He'll be alright thought, won't he? (in a pleading voice).
Kaname: *silence*.
Mizuki: Please! Tell me he's going to be OK!
Kaname: I'm sorry Mizuki. All we can do now is wait, I'm afraid.
Mizuki: (tries to hold back tears).
Kaname: It's OK to cry. You should cry, while you're still able to.
(Mizuki clings to Kaname and sobs).

Yuki: (looks at the two Aces). I'm guessing that this scene brings back unpleasant memories.
Fate: Yes...it does.
Nanoha: She really does care about him though. He really got her worried.
Yuki: Sounds like someone that a certain blonde would know all too well.
Fate: Those two remind me of that one night that I don't want to remember.

Yeah, I have to agree with you on the most part. My Nanoha is generally an exhibitionist, and her personality shows that she knows exactly what people would do with nude shots of her. Changing her so suddenly in a fic could throw people off like it did you.

Also, the romance was kind of an afterthought and I wasn't going to really have it until the end, where I thought Fate needed to explain herself better to the dense!Nanoha in the story. I thought of a way to keep it more simple without a get together near the end, but I couldn't really find any reason that would allow Fate to be upset that much over it, specially after Hayate's scene.

I wish I posted it here first instead of directly to FF.N so I could tweak it some >.< Oh well, I need to finish AltS first before I go back and change it. Thanks a lot for the helpful review Dezo <3

@Thread: I thought I'd ask you guys about this. One review I got complained about me using dollars in my story for mid-childa's money. I think it is simpler that way, because 90% of the people reading know what a dollar is. I don't think creating some new currency for Mid would help at all. Actually, I think it would take away because if you see a currency you don't know, you'd probably instantly wonder how much that is in your native currency... thoughts?

I say the decision you made is fine. It's okay to create new things for fanfiction as far as it goes, but in the end we'll always base what we write off what we know best, or just use that instead of creating something new. So don't let the review bother you; I think you were fine in choosing to use dollars for Mid's currency since we have no idea what it is anyway, and besides, it's your fic to begin with, so you can do whatever you want with it in terms of currency.

I say leave it as it is. Creating a whole new fictional currency is difficult already, and dollar is just a term; if I'm not mistaken other countries use the dollar as well, just not the American dollar.

I generally try to avoid the mention of specific money, because most of the time, you can get away with it and it's not that important. In "Heritage" I have Fate swiping a payment card, which is reasonable for the society, but doesn't say anything about exactly how much something cost or what the exact currency is. In "Unexpected Expectations" I just have Yuuno sliding some money across a counter "double what the drink cost."

Just ask yourself how important having an exact money count is, and how important it is to specifically name a currency. Most of the time, you'll find it isn't real important to the plot. I'd be willing to help, if anyone has a section dealing with money that they'd like to rewrite to avoid using dollars or something.

But this is just my personal opinion.

Lastly, you could just use "credits" as currency. It's a neutral enough term that a society might natural drift to as it gets more advanced, and it's used in numerous sci-fi stories, so most people can relate to it.

I agree with you on that one. Usually I try to avoid trying to come up with a currency and just prefer putting it just like you did in your story. Trying to make it specific in terms of currency might probably cause readers to either be confused or somewhat thrown off in terms of understanding.

My current situation, however, was giving me mixed signals. On one hand, I finally had my sister... On the other, I missed my family back home. I wanted to return so desperately that it was driving me crazy now that we were so close, but when Alicia smiles at me I feel a family love from her so great that it makes me want to break down and cry at the thought of leaving her. These feelings made the past three days exceedingly difficult, and I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted Hayate to hurry up or to take her time.

Fate smiled as she walked into Nanoha's room during their lunch break. The instructor was currently laying on her back on the couch with a sleeping Vivio curled on her stomach. Out of habit, the blond brought up her hands to form a monitor so she could take a picture of the scene. 'Seeing Vivio so young really brings back memories.' The target of her thoughts seemed to stir at that moment, sleepily lifting her head. Fate tried her best not to fawn over the half asleep eyes and slightly parted mouth paired with the confused face of the child. Instead, she walked over to the girls and leaned over, offering her arms.

Vivio took the silent request to be picked up and layed against the woman while trying to wake up. "Sleepy?" Fate asked softly, looking past Vivio and to Nanoha.

"Mmn aunt Fate..." Vivio's reply was stifled by a face-splitting open mouthed yawn. "Aahhhhhwwwnnnn..."

Nanoha interrupted Fate's silent cursing for not taking a picture of that scene by running a hand along her stomach in an attempt to find out why the warm child was no longer sleeping on her. The blonde knelt down by the woman and took her hand to show that someone was still there. "Fate...-chan..." Nanoha whispered while slowly waking up. Her hand gripped Fate's softly and the blond watched in amazement as Nanoha brought it to her mouth to kiss a finger. " love you..." Her half mumbled words were barely audible, but slate blue eyes slowly fluttered open. Looking up at a bewildered Fate holding Vivio, she smiled fondly. As her mind woke up more, her expression changed and she sat up quickly, holding a hand to her chest. "Fweh-chyan!?"

Fate looked at her with sparkling eyes. "Vivio said my name perfectly when she woke up." The comment made Nanoha blush darkly and look away. "Lunch time is almost over," The woman continued. "I came to make sure you woke up for afternoon training like you asked."

"A-ah..." Nanoha nodded. "Thank you..." She watched Fate sit Vivio onto her feet and move closer to her. "Fate-chan? Kyan!" She held onto the blonde when she was suddenly lifted up off the couch.

"Should I just carry you?" Fate asked curiously. "I don't see your chair."

"Pendant form," Nanoha revealed, showing her necklace. "I was scared Vivio might roll off of me so I didn't want her to hit the chair if I had to make a grab for her..." Nanoha's words slowly trailed off, and she looked down at her lap, embarrassed. "Uhm..." She was taken to an opening in the room without being asked so she could toss the small gem to the floor, where it glowed brightly before changing into her smart chair.

"Hayate would have loved to have a device like that in the past," Fate mused while setting Nanoha into it.

"Y-yeah... This model was specially build for me. It allows me to do so much more than the normal models." Nanoha lifted herself slightly with her arms and adjusted herself to sit comfortably.

"Mama?" Vivio's voice made them both turn to the girl. "Why do you always sit in that chair?"

Fate felt her heart break at the question, but Nanoha simply smiled at it. " Mama's legs don't move like yours do," She explained simply. "So this chair helps me get around."

"Oh," Vivio looked sad at the answer. "...Ne, mama?"

"Yes?"

"If you ever need something, I'll get it for you, okay?" Vivio put her hands on Nanoha's knees and peered up at her. "Okay?"

The mother smiled down at her, leaning over to pick up the girl to sit on her lap. "Mmn. Thank you, Vivio."

Fate and Alicia entered the briefing room together, seeing others already there. Nanoha and Yuuno were off to one side, along with Teana and Subaru next to them. Across from the small group stood Lexus along with two people in standard military attire. From what Fate could remember, she assumed they were the triple-A ranked air and sea mages that had been mentioned earlier.

"About time," Lexus spoke up at once. "When you're in my battalion, I won't let you be tardy when summoned." He hesitated when he saw Alicia as well. "Oh, you have a twin do you?"

"Shut it before I do it for you," Alicia shot at him with narrowed eyes.

Hayate cut them off before an argument could break out by clearing her throat. "Okay everyone, since we are all gathered now, I would like to go over the plan for this mission." She motioned for everyone to gather around the table in the middle of the room and brought up a transparent blueprint of a building and the surrounding area. "Our sources tell us that this building is where Jail Scaglietti is currently staying. He has an interest with Alicia, and will talk to her-"

"-Why?" Lexus interrupted, looking over at the blonde. "What connection does she have with Jail?"

Alicia smirked at him pointedly and then turned back to Hayate, who continued where she left off. "Since Fate-chan is Alicia's twin, we will have her confront Scaglietti in her sister's place. With the main threat being taken care of by Fate-chan, we can easily slip in the other entrances to his base here, here, and here." She pointed with each word, making the areas light up. "We will be split into groups as follows: Lightning Unit will be Fate-chan alone. Stars will consist of Nanoha and Alicia, who will go after the relic."

"Wait a moment, please," Fate cut in apologetically. "Nanoha will be going inside the building?"

Nanoha looked a little offended. "Of course I will be. I may be in a wheelchair, but I have ways to enter into battle. Raising Heart has a flight mode that will give me almost two hours of mobile time without starting to effect my combat."

Fate looked skeptical, so Hayate confirmed it. "I don't know about your world, Fate-chan, but in ours, Yuuno-kun made specific additions to Nanoha-chan's device to ensure her safety. Also, no offense Alicia, but I can't have you alone in the target zone." The girl shrugged and smiled over at Nanoha with a nod.

Lexus snorted. "So what are we here for?"

"You will follow Stars unit and ensure that they can reach their target. If they are engaged before hand, you will engage instead."

"Works for me," Lexus crossed his arms. " Saving your butts seems to be a full time job anyway." His remark made his two men smirk and the rest of the room repress a growl. "And don't forget, Fate, you're mine after this is over."

Fate glared but nodded anyway.

"People, please." Hayate spoke firmly, tapping her hands on the table displaying the information before them. "Focus." When all eyes turned to her again, she continued. "Subaru, Teana, you will be with me in the Snow group. We will be stationed in a van nearby." Her moved her hands, rotating the map displaying on the table so she could point at a building nearby where the mission would take place. "This will be where we start the mission and where I will be stationed to oversee it. My group will be for back up purposes only and will not deploy unless there is an emergency." She looked at the two nervous soldiers before her and nodded at them. "I'll be counting on you two to protect the van in-case we're discovered." Both of them saluted, although not as crisp as they normally would. "Any questions?"

Lexus moved his hands out in a shrugging manor. "So basically we're walking in, Fate takes on Jail, we protect these two girls, and find a relic? You called us in for that?"

Hayate turned to face him directly. "Scaglietti is highly dangerous, and he has the trinity as his personal bodyguards. That alone would warrant caution, and that's not including any extra guards he may have. We are trying to bring him down once and for all; underestimation him at this point is not an option. Any more questions?" When none came, she nodded to herself. "Right then. We deploy tomorrow at one, be ready. Dismissed." With that word, the group dispersed, going their own ways. 'Let's just hope this goes smoothly.'

"Fate-chan," Nanoha's voice made the woman stop and turn back to look at her. "Want to eat dinner with me tonight? Please?"

The red eyed girl hesitated just a moment before agreeing. "Sure, I'd love to."

Nanoha beamed up at her friend. "Great! I'll have it ready in about an hour so come by when you're ready okay?"

Nanoha glanced over her shoulder when she heard knocking at her door. "Come in!" She called out cheerfully.

"Excuse the intrusion," Fate sang out in her normal soft tone. "Oh, something smells really good." bending over, she plucked up Vivio when the child came to greet her and balanced the girl onto her hip. "Hi there, Vivio."

"Hello, Aunt Fate." She replied back with a giggle at being carried.

"Almost ready," Nanoha informed while pulling a roast from the oven.

"Shall I set the table?" Fate asked curiously while looking at the half prepared dining table.

"Ah, I can get it!"

"Its okay," Fate insisted. "Vivio will help me, won't you Vivio?"

"Un!" The girl cheered at being involved.

"Thank you," Nanoha gave in at the happy look on her 'daughter's' face.

Fate sat Vivio on the floor and got the plates down, making sure Vivio could carry all three of them safely. "Put them on the table, but be careful because they can break, okay?" She got a hum and then was graced with the sight of Vivio carefully carrying the plates with both hands as if she were balancing marbles on top of them.

"So, what are we doing here?" A voice was heard as a group walked into the light.

"We're having an out of canon moment." A slightly gruff female voice was heard.

"Ooooh! Goodie! I get to kiss Nove!"

"Dammit, Wendi!" Nove was heard, before lots of kissing was also heard.

Looking up as she saw her sisters enter the area, Tre raised an eyebrow. "Why'd you call for us to meet you here? And why is Nove covered in kisses?"

Nove grumbled slightly. "Wendi decided that since this is an out of canon experience she was going to kiss me."

Cinque shook her head. "It could be worse."

Wendi pouted as Nove agreed to that. "Anyway, we called you here because we have a real problem!"

"What?" Tre smirked at her. "The writers decided to write you out of the show?"

"No, worse!" Wendi was waving around some papers that apparently decided to appear in her hands. "The fans have gone stupid!"

"What else is new?" Tre asked.

"You might want to pay attention." Otto spoke up, getting a startled look from Tre. "What?"

"Where did you come from?" Tre asked, getting a shrug from Otto.

"Out of canon moment, anyone can show up."

"Even if they're dead?" Tre asked and Otto shrugged.

"Yeah, but that's why we hired the Ghostbusters to deal with that." Deed pointed behind her to some people off screen that couldn't be seen. "We don't wanna get sued, so we aren't allowing them on screen." Deed said to Tre's unasked question.

"So, why have the fans gone stupid?" Tre asked, blinking as Wendi threw down the papers to her feet.

"They're saying that the only real fans of this series care about NanoFate romance and anything else is just crap!"

Nove rolled her eyes at the ranting Wendi was giving. "Please, if that was the only thing that mattered about this series, it might as well be Kannazuki no Miko. There's a hell of a lot more in this universe, not just the NanoFate possible romance."

Cinque smirked. "I wonder how many of those so-called fans know who we are?"

"They remember Quattro... Maybe they remember you." Sein rubbed the back of her head. "If they follow ViVid, then they'd know who Nove is."

Tre rolled her eyes. "I wonder if any of them even know who Sette is."

The aforementioned Cyborg blinked at her older sister.

Wendi crossed her arms and pouted. "I bet they can't even figure out what our hair colors are... Or our ISes."

"Do they even know what an IS is?" Nove scratched the back of her head.

"I wonder how many readers we managed to piss off." Dieci asked as she put on a flame-proof suit.

Nove shrugged. "As for who we are, yeah, they remember Quattro, little bratty mind-controlling meanie, they remember Cinque... At least in Japan, the Western fans probably don't know since they only watched the anime. As for me, I asked the guys behind ViVid to let me be a main character."

"So the rumors of you sleeping with them are..." Sein trailed off as Nove blushed.

"JUST RUMORS!" Nove denied what Sein had just asked.

"YAY!" Wendi jumped up and down before tackling Nove in a hug.

Tre cleared her throat. "Yeah... So the only fans like the thought of Nanoha and Fate together and the rest of the universe can go to hell?"

"Apparently." Nove said with a roll of her eyes from under Wendi. "Wendi, get off of me!" She pushed at Wendi, her hands pushing on the other cyborg's chest to try and get her off.

Tre shrugged. "It's not like anyone really knows who Sette or I are, either. They might remember the two people that Fate beat easily with a generic shonen powerup."

"Speaking of Generic Shonen..." Sein cut in, shaking her head. "You hear about how many people seem to dislike Force just because the main character is a guy?"

Dieci shrugged. "At least he has the superior female as a love interest."

Deed smirked at her sister. "Just because Lily has nipples and no one else does?"

"Exactly!"

"What's going on here?" A new voice spoke up.

"Hey, look! It's Nanoha and Fate!" Sein pointed out as the two walked up to the large group.

"I think our ratings just went up." Nove muttered as Wendi finally got off of her.

"If anyone's even bothering to read this far." Otto shook her head.

"So, what's going on?" Fate asked, looking at the cyborgs.

"Just discussing things..." Wendi trailed off and looked at the two. "Nanoha, Fate... Are you two gay?"

Nanoha blinked and scratched her head. "Gay? Maybe... I dunno..."

"I am." Fate shrugged.

Everyone turned to her and gasped.

"They were right!" Sein and Wendi cried out at the same time, throwing their hands into the air, shaking their fists at an imaginary opponent.

"The NanoFate fans will be happy to hear that." Tre rolled her eyes.

Fate blinked at that. "I thought "gay" meant to be happy?" She shrugged. "So, by that, I am very happy."

"Oh." Everyone blinked at that.

"Wait, doesn't gay mean to like men?" Nanoha blinked a few times.

"It also means to like your own gender." Wendi spoke up helpfully.

Nanoha shrugged at that. "Well, in that case, I'm gay too."

"Happy gay, straight gay or gay gay?" Nove asked, getting a smirk from Nanoha, who winked at the shorter girl.

"Now that... Is a secret."

The Numbers in general groaned.
