I don't think Del Toro is interested in making a porno.

That's just a different kind of porno. All mech all the time. Need a story in there as well.

Pacific Rim is mecha porn, does that count?

[ANN]The World of Narue, Pacific Rim Win Seiun Awards.

PacRim Yeah!

Though I find it funny that Girls Und Panzer was one of the contenders for Best Dramatic Presentation category.

Drift Inside A Jaeger At Legendary's SDCC Booth with Oculus VR

Quote:
Those who have always harbored dreams of piloting a giant robot can finally get their chance this weekend at San Diego Comic Con... if virtual reality counts. Legendary Pictures (Booth #3920) teamed up with Guillermo del Toro and Oculus VR to create an immersive virtual reality experience for Pacific Rim called "Drift with the Rift," which allows users to experience the inside of the Jaeger cockpit from a user-controlled point of view, as well as encounter a Kaiju.

Those who complete the experience will receive a personalized Jaeger Pilot badge.

Hyped. Hope this becomes something and heads to Gundam as well.

They'll be releasing it to the public soon. As with most Comic-con goodies, attendees have exclusive look for the first little while.

Guillermo del Toro: 'Pacific Rim 2' Starts Shooting This Fall

Is that a Korean Jaeger? Not sure if it's official artwork, it looks pretty cool nonetheless.

I strongly hope that Charlie Hunnam does not return. He was so thoroughly bland and woefully average in the role (not to say I wanted someone larger than life, that's what Idris Alba was for , but damn was Hunnam unappealing). Give me more Rinko Kikuchi's Mako Mori, less Charlie Hunnam...and whatever his characters name was (I'm just going to go with Jax, because I seriously do not care).

I think that's the Korea flag on its chest so I guess it's safe to say that's a Hyperion Nova fan art. I thought Hyperion should have a sword since both her pilots are profession fencers.

Considering their success in China, I think they probably will try to get the Chinese+Korean play a bigger role this time.

Still feel so disappointed at how the Russian and Chinese Jaeger (Crimson Typhoon and Cherno Alpha) were taken out so quick last time through. The two actually have a more interesting design than Eureka and Gypsy

Nice, so it's finally underway .

I certainly loved that movie. Just awesome monster vs mech action . Sometimes that is all you need.

Here's hoping they do a great job with it and it does get enough success.

Legendary wanted to produce a sequel to del Toro's Pacific Rim, which was made under the Warners deal and turned into one of those films that grosses a lot ($411 million worldwide) while being so costly that a follow-up isn't a sure thing. Sources say Legendary liked that the original performed exceptionally well in China, where the company is heavily invested, but for now the project — which had been ramping up to make a release date in August 2017 — has been halted indefinitely and will be pushed back (if it gets made at all).

Fark, is this true?
Halted Indefinitely?
