Probably the same. Tomoya Asano (Director) is the one who first confirmed the sequel before it was officially announced. And considering Akihiko Yoshida is still on the project despite leaving Square Enix last month, things probably haven't changed much.

Growing up in the 16bit era, I for one think having 'no feet' is normal in rpgs.

Looks like the sequel is going for actual cut-scenes opposite to the theater style approach the first game had.

You might actual get feet in this time since character models are supposedly more proportional. Noses are a lost cause though.
