I am not shocked at all by this. I expected this would happen after season 1 ended. I am glad it was so quick.

I hope they take their time with this season. I'd much rather wait a year or two for something on par with S1 than get it immediately and lose the movie-level quality.

Seems very likely since Studio Bind was pretty much created to animate this series.

Good, so we're not skipping the Fitz background story. Also it seems odd they're including the stuff with Rudy and that one party. I thought that was all from the Depressed Mage spin-off?

Trying to contain my hype and be very vague with what is said.

Probably because, Anime is following the Light Novel, and "Depressed Mage" spin-off is Manga diversion, since it had skipped the plot in the Main Story.

Interesting, didn't realize it was in the LN. I felt like it flowed perfectly well in the manga so didn't even notice there was a gap.

W-woah, we’re getting a lot further into the story than I thought S2 would judging by a certain scene in there.

So:

- Rudeus with a new party in his quest to find his mother .

- Rudeus hitting puberty (and probably getting a new voice) ?

- Rudeus getting cozy with his family .

- A magic academy? Looks like...that kid from Eris' OVA, Rudeu's disciple, and Elinalise in a school uniform ?

- Isn't that the masked girl who was with Orsted...

- Roxy locked up? But then comforting Rudeus ?

- Kind of give away who the white-haired girl is when you look at her outfit at the end .

Wow that are really cramming a lot into the 2nd season. I hope it is 24 episodes again. Looks like novels 7-12.

It probably is going to be a 24 episode Season, possibly split in 2 parts/cour like Season 1.

They plan to properly cover the plot and make MT a long running Series.
So, i doubt they would make it as bad as Season 2 of Shield Hero.

If they were in a hurry, they would have skipped the "Depressed Mage" arc like the Manga Main Story.

I wonder if the magic academy arc will suffer the same backslash as in the manga, at least outside Japan.

It is quite dragged out and has too much drama and not much going on (besides the final).
