Screencaps for Episode 2:
Unlike episode 1, this episode has substance. The action and the blood and the gore are also much more pronounced than episode 1. I'm really looking forward to episode 3.

This is sooo DVD worthy. You know when you get that feeling not from obligation but from sheer awe?
Ep 2 rocked! Who said there was no story? Psshh, whatever! This series could easily be extended. It's shame that it will probably be crammed.

Just watched episode 2, but for me episode 1 was a way more interesting.
Maybe because it's the originality of the anime who make episode 1 so new...so in 2 it's just a come-back (can't find appropriate word) The thing i really like is the generique, so switft, very worked, very interesting ideas in composition... remember me cowboy bebop or samourai shamploo. fake simplicity : true efficacity. i like. (even though it's a second-class anime in my mind, where the only interest is in originality) p.s : sorry for poor english. Last edited by Thedreamer; 2007-01-15 at 06:31. |

The second episode was surprisingly good, at least the first part with the flashbacks (though nothing really original, it was pretty enjoyable because the animation was great). It was partly destroyed in the second part though, and the scene with Afro and the woman in the festival was absolutely hilarious... mostly because the voice actors are so bad.

I'm digging it so far.
It's kind of like taking Fist of the North Star (Or maybe Ninja Scroll?), and mixing it with a little Samurai Champloo and maybe some Hellsing... The over the top fight brutality is definately the main draw of this series, which is fine by me if it's stylish brutality, like this stuff. |
