I initially passed over this series, but after seeing the massive amount of fanart crossing it over with Doki Doki! Precure (it helps that Regina looks a lot like Ichigo), I watched all 33 episodes in the span of about two weeks. I'm enjoying this. It's not all that different from Love Live!, except the school is for the idols rather than the idols being for the school. Honoka/Umi/Kotori can be pretty easily compared to Ichigo/Ran/Aoi. But I like Yurika because of her whole vampire act and having a really really awesome song. I'll watch this to the end!

I've gotta say, I'm loving this even more than last I managed to post. I usually mostly just care for shorter series, but I love the pace and build up for this compared to the other idol anime. I suppose actually following it from the beginning helped a lot with watching something so long, and it's gonna especially help now that there is gonna be a second season to what I have to say managed to become one of my favorite anime in a while.

Ichigo eating so much was kinda funny until Aoi mentioned she was overeating. Yeah, I actually did kinda feel for her, but I knew she would just burn it off.

Emotional dude + Mohawk = awesome lol, but for me this wasn't really as emotional an episode as others. (well of course not, but idk)

You're not the only one, and how the ending was laid out was almost what I had in mind. Nothing but positive vibes all over.

However, on a side note, does anyone know if there are any fan artists here who are able to draw in that Aikatsu! art style, by any chance? There was this certain kind of picture that just popped in my mind which involves the "main eight" (yeah, I'm still calling them that because they were their best in season 1, especially in the latter episodes).

The new season starts 1 year later with Aoi and Ran feeling lonely with Ichigo in the US an. Its seem like it going to be Starlight vs Dream Academy for top idols and Seira came out with a big start

I dunno if I like Seira winning the newest competition... not only was she up against Ichigo, but also Ran and Otome (just out of the leaders of this audition, not including the ones who played the assistants)... and out of the four of them, the only ones who fit the theme (a sweets themed detective show) were Ichigo and Otome. I just can't see Seira in that sort of a role, it's too sweet and cutesy for her. She's been winning just about everything she enters and it's starting to get a little old for me. ^^;

Kii winning fits, though, as the theme of the show works with her personality and tastes.
