And this is the first part of Sodachi riddle, as expected she's crazy as fuck but it is quite understandable considering how horrible it was her life, that said her attitude toward Araragi is just stupid at the same time specially her reaction toward Senjougahara (so glad she punched Sodachi, it was amazing).

Ougi as always is the counterpart of Araragi and she's the one who actually can give him some motivation to find the truth about the actual situation, the next episode is going to be awesome since is the second part of Sodachi's story and explains the past.

SHAFT delivering as always, is good to be alive.

Overall pretty good episode. Loved the style of the new OP song and I thought Oikura was portrayed well as her charcter. The word plays and dialogues are cleverly done as expected while one of my favorite characters from the franchise made a nice appearance.

Ougi has also been growing as a very interesting character now through her involvement with Araragi imo.
It was also interesting to learn more about his past too.

Hitagi retaliated with the punch was lol and even puts Sodachi out of commission. Hmm poor Sodachi though. Her scenes were terrifying good and SHAFT as usual knows how to give the scenes more emotions by using the "despise" words all over it. I felt a little chilled while watching.

Another 10/10 episode.

Holy shit, I did NOT think Sodachi would still have beef with Araragi. Wow, she really got her point across with despising him. I guess the big indication was that she didn't cut her hair, yet. I was not expecting her to stab him, though. Man, that is fucked up. For some reason, I just knew that Hitagi would show up in some capacity when Arararagi looked shocked after getting stabbed and just nonchalantly walking away. I'm kinda glad that Sodachi seemed surprised by her own actions, too. It gives me a feeling that she is a redeemable character. Good lord, her entry with Hanekawa holding on for dear life was GLORIOUSLY BADASS. Her screentime has become absolute gold, and she never EVER disappoints. The altercation between them was also hilarious. Hitagi knocking the stars out of Sodachi was conveyed in such a serious and comical nature, that I had to take a minute and just process just what exactly went down. Sodachi LITERALLY glided over the floor. Hitagi's final act of fainting was also in good taste.And Ougi is fuckin Ougi as usual. I dunno.

Aw man, this arc is so exciting. I hope the end doesn't disappoint.

edit: Oh, and that little scene with the Monty Hall problem was also pretty sweet. The Powerpuff Girls vibe I got from it was real and strong.

Nah, she just have to pass out because she'll be punished more if the teachers find out that she just toppled Sodachi (no wordplay intended) and she's still standing.

well looking at the ED song again, you can see in the last scene transition with a kid araragi driving that mine cart while a younger looking sodachi is sitting.

araragi and sodachi were probably childhood friends, with her maybe even having a crush on araragi back then. then there's some fallout at some point, maybe a confession or some other incident that made their relationship strained. somehow then, araragi probably forgot about it then when they met again in high school she got so mad.

oh and there should be some apparition involved, but I cant think of anything of what kind.



ah and to reference back that argument we were having in the last episode thread...
using his logic, people should watch owarimonogatari BEFORE kizumonogatari since chronologically, owari is dealing with something 3-4 years before kizu started. its also getting to explain more of araragi's before he got really involved with apparition, hence "explain to the confused people" about araragi's character. owari's already explaining why araragi didnt want to make friends, and I doubt that kizu delved on that besides maybe a reference.

I'm loving this series. This second ep seemed over so quickly. Mizuhashi Kaori is doing an amazing job matching her voice to the unusual look of Ougi. Making her come alive.

But Senjougahara-san's sequence made me realize how much more than all the other wonderful characters I enjoy seeing her. Chiwa's voice, of course, but mainly the character she plays: vulnerable, nervous, posturing, aggressive, grateful, in love. So vivid and affecting.

I didn't expect Sodachi to be this crazy. That girl has some serious issues, which I guess are going to be explored soon. What could Araragi have possibly done to make her hate him this much?

Ougi continues to be creepy and yet oddly sexy. Kaori Mizuhashi is doing a terrific job with her.

My god, he was cringe central when he started "reasoning" and "empathizing" with Sodachi.

He's the entire opposite of the calm guy he was during Ougi Formula.

Really enjoyed how they are progressing the story both in the last and this ep in a mystery novel such of way.

Senjougahara vs Oikura, wonder if there will be round 2.
