She reminds me of Akira from Lucky Star, only with a Yamato Nadeshiko good side rather than a moe-genki one.

(And of "Goutouza-sama" with her bokuto.... :-) )

Tama-chan...very odd...very adorable girl.

This mixing of super sentai adoration and kinda flat way of acting towards others is a really entertaining mix for sure. I wonder how far this vanquishing evil thing is gonna go...

Also dark miya-miya?!? This I gotta see.

Small thing I noticed: The Blade Braver theme was sung by Shinichi Ishihara, who also performed the themes for GoGoV and Kamen Rider Agito, among others. I think that's pretty cool.

Also, chibi-Tama with her Blade Braver doll was cute.

So from the looks of those pics miya-miya's dark side is a bokken wielding delinquent hun...

So does that mean she perfers a bokken? Kinda odd for someone going into kendo since all they use is shinai right?

No, actually, we use bokuto in kendo no kata. They're not used in keiko or shiai, but that's not all that there is to kendo....

especially in the preview at the ed of ep3 when watching that part i thougt "lol! this is lucky channel"
thought it was rather cute that her 'dark side' said "as long as dan-kun is around, anywhere is fine"

No fanservice? For the manga that's true, but for the anime...

The end of ep3 had an EXTREMELY suggestive shot with Saya and MiyaMiya ^_^;

Really impressed with the sword melee scenes in Ep2.... does the poundy drums remind anyone of Battlestar Galactica? Maybe it's just me.... =)

Really...Interesting, shows you how little I know about kendo.

Im guessing you don't actually strike each other with those though seeing as bokken are pretty hefty. I'd imagine it would cause some damage even wearing kendo armor.

Well episode 2 was pretty fun. The poor sensei got owned in an instant. Nice little chat they had with Tama afterwards. She could have at least toyed with him so it wasn't such an instant defeat . Do wonder if he'll get his head where it should be in this and not in his stomach. At least his class is keeping him alive with some extra food.

Tama though is great. Ton of fun with her hero of justice. Plus great time with her taking out that jerk who was going way overboard. Gotta love Kirino and her apparent sweat fetish . But guess with the club being inactive for so long she's happy to see things happening again. Plus seems like there should be some solid friendships within the club.

No, we do keiko (practice/free sparring) and shiai (tournament matches) with shinai (the proverbial bamboo blades). Bokuto are just for kata (choreographed training drills with a partner). You don't wear your bogu (kendo armour) to do kata, and you stop your strike short of your partner and don't actually hit them.

Interesting...I hope they get into stuff like that...Be interested in them showing a more complete view of kendo training since it seems like you only get bits and pieces of it in most animes.
