Animes featuring university age people

as the title suggested, I'm looking for animes featuring university age people, as opposed to the usual high school age. Genres don't matter, but if you can think of any, preferably slice of life, like NHK and Genshiken. thanks!

The most obvious that comes to mind would be Honey & Clover (and Honey & Clover II). There is also a Live-Action movie as well.

The first series has been licensed by Viz, no release date yet.

Of course the other obvious recommendation will be Nodame Cantabile.

Aside from Honey and Clover series another one that fits is Nodame Cantabile, musical themed and slice of life anime... oh and btw it's also had a live action version...

edit: beaten ~_~ seconded Nodame....

Love hina and Love hina again.
It's a ecchi/romance/comedy, the anime kinda ends with the unfinished ending.
The manga however has a proper ending. They should make it a third season for it, they have enough material in the manga for sure.

Ai Yori Aoshi is one anime that features students in an university... it is a comedy harem romance story though.

There's AA! Megami-sama and Ai Yori Aoshi and Love Hina, which are all relatively mediocre, though probably still worth a watch. They're all harem type anime with college-going (or aspiring) protagonists.

edit: oops, I guess I took too long to submit, lol

D'oh. What's more I just finished watching an episode of the Live-Action Nodame Cantabile a little earlier today.... Along with the previous posters, I would also recommend Nodame Cantabile as well.

thanks, I'll check them out! they all sound very promising (besides the ones I've already seen), especially Nodame Cantabile, Honey and Clover and Moyashimon.

Most of my immediate recomendations were covered already. A couple of other possibilities might be the feel-good comedy Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ (the male lead is a college freshman, although the femal lead is still in high school). Another possibility is the old-school classic Maison Ikkoku, which involves a male college age student and a female lead a couple of years older than him.

If you want something quite different from the previous rom-com recomendations (not that there is anything wrong with them, as a couple of the listed series are among my favorites), you might want to check out Elfen Lied. In that series, several of the main characters are just getting ready to attend college when the story starts.

Right, I really liked Love Hina (it's just epic, not excellent) and really loved Elfen Lied, although it's really different from the others that have been mentioned.

A little older than university age -- adults in a working environment:
REC
Hataraki Man
Some primary characters in Nana and H&C are adults. Mahoraba: Heartful Days is a mix of college and high school but much occurs at the boarding inn.
Maison Ikkoku (if you can find it).

I'd throw Lovely*Complex as an option even though it is technically high school .... it is refreshingly different than the usual 'high school romance' motif.
