Manga 'Happy Sugar Life' is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot:

High-schooler Matsuzaka Satou has a reputation for being easy, but one day her lifestyle of sleeping with one boy after another comes to an end. It happens when she meets the child Shio, for whom she is convinced she feels true love for the first time. Satou may seem sweet and innocent, but there is nothing she won't do to protect their life together, including committing murder. But from where did she acquire the little girl, and how long can their "Happy Sugar Life" together last?

Episode 1:

Hmm, it's a cute but deceptive show. I do like the character chemistry between the two main leads (Satou and Shio) so far as there's definitely a connection that can be felt.

The episode has a mixture of horror gimmicks and also "cute girls doing cute stuff".

Visual quality looks good imo for a show that is made based on the manga and is faithful so far. Most of the psychological
elements took place in second half. But so far, I think this anime is entertaining enough especially with the character chemistry.

Satou looks really adorable in that maid outfit imo.

This series was something, from a moment i expected a horror drama with a two face yandere but pinky-chan(Satou) was so lovely even in with her love to a illegal loli

There is no ILO offices on japan? she could sue but might reveal she live with an illegal loli too.

That ending...Seems Satou make something to get her 'happy sugar life'. This anime can be the best or worst...need more chapter to showed it

But hanakana voicing a yandere is awesome. I can watch a whole episode with just her monologue throughout.

lol, to be honest, compared to last season's cutesy "over the top crazy people" anime, I actually kinda felt this was even more over the top, especially the whole thing involving the shota-raping store lady. What, she seriously had to see the phone in order to not realize that going Lelouch and preaching about your... um, castle? probably end badly?
And the kid isn't even dead. Man, if you are going to go this far, just kill the kid off.

I mean, it was still kinda fun to watch. Just not scary. And I assume the story is trying to be psychotic and scary.
But it was still funny.

And boo on silhouette-ing the sex scenes. Come on, what is a good horror movie without the other "adult" side of the stuff.

Well... I almost though the Protag was semi decent person till the "bags" Humor was surprising edition and I feel this is a more layed and complex Yandere than Yuno

She says to the manager the she shouldn't be with underage kids yet Satou is with one herself that's a lot younger, either way she's now able to get the money that she wants, both of them are messed up in the head.

Wow what a psychotic girl Satou is, she has mutilated whoever those people were to take over their apartment and kidnapped Shio.

What a dark anime this, definitely the opposite of happy sugar, very messed up but I want to watch more because of how interesting it is.

Well this is definitely a show that has the creep factor set to 11...

And the thing is, I find that I feel the sorriest for Shio. Considering the way she acted and the knowledge she has, she seems to be extremely young and not in any way mature enough for the relationship this psychotic yandere girl wants.

I also feel sorry for the family that is looking for her.

At last, a true yuri anime that is decent. Will be staying at the thread. ^__^

Watched episode 1:

Manager is lucky.. I'm sure Satou would have killed manager-san if Satou did not need the pay. And something is mysterious / disturbing about the child... I just can't describe it.

Looking forward to next week. >__<

Who would kill somebody for love her classmate says? you're sitting right next to someone who already did.

That teacher definitely has feelings for Satou, even the customers she has to deal with are creepy.

The teacher chose the wrong person to stalk, little does he know that Satou is a psychotic serial killer, he is no match for her, what a sickening sight seeing him getting off from burning those bodies.

Oh my gosh, even Mitsuboshi is a freak, wrong person though to love, as soon as Satou finds out about that you are a dead boy.

This guy that is looking for Shio, is he family or just another Satou because of those vows, either way he might be about to die.

The obvious teacher was obvious his stalking crush with Satou and Satou was so lost, but nice how she put in her place, to have a traumatized psychopath Lolicon Yandere as our heroine you need her rivals to be worse.

Seems Shio have her own traumas too.

So the boy from previous chapter got traumatized with old women and how is a lolicon and is lusting for Satou loli...this anime is just...

The Sweet/Bitter duality is something, specially when Satou is as bitter as she hate.

Satou is full yandere.

This series is so dissonant but that make it unique, a dark story hidden with pastel colours.

I know the episode was pretty funny, but I think the topping was when she hit the locker and it not only happened to open, but it also happened to only contain a single item perfect for the protagonist to use to kill someone.
The teacher was kinda lame, but the traumatized kid becoming a lolicon wasn't that bad of a joke.
