Episode 1:
The show is back! I'm really happy to see the characters return with its very entertaining comedy. The usage of its visual really had its appeal. Loved the theme songs as well and the show once again seems very self-aware. Mondays are going to be very funny this season.

Well, that was a great start . Felt like they wanted to redo a bit last season's episode 1 that got pulled off the waves, but this time with less copyright infringement and more of a twist. Plus some references to the show's success.

Point taken, show. Point taken.
But man, live action Totti is creepy... (Also, I half-expected a bunch of figure skaters taking them down, but I guess they were more interested in the haters being haters. ) The opening theme is great, the ending theme is cute but I liked the S1 one better, with the characters talking over the music. |

Though they still have a chance to do a figure skating with the Idolmatsus .

I hope so. As much as the Yuuri on Ice craze passed me by, I'd be very, very disappointed if Osomatsu-san didn't do a parody of it... |

Poor sextuplets, no matter if they are shitty successful or properly successful, nobody wanna see them like that. They should just stay eternal failures, at least they do that properly and are successful at it. xD

For sure. There was an almost South Park-esque vibe to their satire there. They had some bone to pick, me thinks . And yeah, the 'proper anime' joke was a send up to the industry and its formulas as a whole. Though I found weird they also included what looked like basically... He-Man ?

"We got in trouble for parodying too many series in last season's opener, so this season, we decided to take a stab at the whole anime industry and consumer market instead!"
But seriously, damned if they do, damned if they don't. Poor guys. |

Very amusing first episode, sharper satire than S1, of the shift from shallow activism to moral guardianship in society over the years. |

Granted, Gintama already referenced KF already in the first episode of the new season, so Osomatsu-san might be a little too late for that |

Well, they went out of their way to show all Matsu fans being fangirls, so on that front it has to be Yuuri on Ice. (A lot of Matsu fangirls easily rolled over to YoI, too, although of course by that time there was no new Matsu canon for quite a while.)

Welp, new episode was... alright I guess? Not gut-bursting laughter but still had some nice moments. The one that had me really in stitches was the nipple cutting . The Serious!Matsus doing the Epic Walk of Shit About To Go Down towards the employment office were also quite the sight.
Second segment was absolutely weird . As they pointed out, the "invisibility" trope got one hell of a twist here. And then it just went full surreal and ended in a rather depressing scene. Fitting of this show's cringe comedy style.

I laughed a lot, but my sense of humor is questionable, so...
The nipple cutting was great (Totti getting all defiant and doing it to himself was the best), the idea of becoming internet celebrities (hah!) as the easiest and laziest way of making money was spot-on, as was them getting all serious and making their way to Hello Work... not to find a job but to demand unemployment benefits. The invisibility story was pretty funny too, although my favorite part was Todomatsu literally having no heart (and Karamatsu's disco ball heart...), and painting each other only going by the impression they have of the others. And in the end Iyami managed to get them right... |
