the persona got upgraded and when cute little Nanako-chan said she wanted to marry her onii-chan. D'awww.

Can't believe we have to wait 5 months for the True End...

The talking part was kind of dragging, and whenever the fighting scenes came up, they're kinda rushed to me I mean, they can talk while they fight, and not pause and take a pose as they talk, but...lol I didn't play the game so...But still, I enjoy the episode.

And like Mura said, it's worth the wait for the True End

It does suck to have to wait for the true ending but I don't see it as a big deal anyway since I always thought the true ending was kinda random. Some person you barely noticed in the game suddenly turn out the be the mega god boss...wtf...? =___='
Beside I never see the true ending as part of the storyline since it feel more like a bonus optional dungeon to grind for loots/money/get 100% demon summon for the game transfer so it make more sense for it to be on DVD

Yeah no, I'm pretty sure something dubbed the "true ending" would be the most canon result out of all the possibilities. And besides, it does answer the questions that are still present and in need of being resolved even after Adachi is defeated. So it is necessary, or else the plot of the story would be filled with holes. It's not that hard to believe either, since it was all foreshadowed from the beginning.

And for those who will whine about having to wait for the true ending episode, there's a little website called Youtube. Go there, search for the Persona 4 true ending, and watch it. Beats having to wait 5 months for something they should have included in the TV broadcast in the first place. It's ridiculous.

Kind of a shame...
The characters were great!
And because of that, the non-Persona-involving episodes were also very enjoyable.

But when it got to the fighting, it was a bit lacking... There just isn't much explanation on it. All of a sudden, he gets a new power that does... something.
Which wasn't that much of a problem, but still, it was a reason why the anime was more interesting when it wasn't doing all of the Persona stuff.

But... the ending arc was............... not so good.
For one thing, it's a shame they couldn't just kill off Nanako. It's sad and I would prefer it if she was alive, but the development was just... She dies, is dead for a day, and then suddenly comes back alive with no side effects?! What?!
And when I thought that Kuma did something, he didn't!
Ashikaze was lame, some typical "World sucks, I'll change the world" boss that ended up losing mentally (rather easily) and then......
That final eyeball battle............... Suddenly the persona change and all of that entire thing was just so, so cheap.

Kind of like Another, that it was steady and interesting most of the way only to trip at the end, but it didn't ruin everything. Still was a nice end and in general, a nice anime. There is gonna be another ending episode inside the DVD later on, but I don't care. Judging the TV series as it is, not by that blatant marketing scheme.

Overall I enjoyed it, but putting the true end in the BluRay to me is the anime version of DLC. Wanna see how it really ends? Fork over some extra dough. Reminds me of Mass Effect 3

I don't think she was dead for a day, I think she came back to life during the same night the group confronted Namatame. And Um...I thought it was pretty obvious that Kuma was responsible for that miracle, I suppose it's because they decided to make it less obvious than in the games, but I thought it was even more obvious with the way he clinched Nanako's head and the way Nanako reacted to Kuma's apology and sprung back to life after that, plus when you remember what Kuma's Arcana was it was even more obvious but I that's something only game players would know.

Though I can tell you're an Anime only viewer of Persona 4 rather than an experience persona 4 player first and Anime viewer second, but believe me you're gonna care about the true ending that's going to be included with the final volume of blue-ray/DVD of Persona 4, it wasn't just randomly added like you're probably thinking. Plus I'm sure the animation quality of the episode itself will be largely improved.

Except for the obvious difference of not actually paying for broadcast anime like you would a video game, right?

I havent played the game .... but I am thinking, that it will be mostly people who played the game who will want to see the so called true ending (whatever that might be, I didnt get it). Because anime only fans will simple take what the anime gives.

I would definately not waste money just to see a different version of the ending.

It'd also be anyone who liked the series enough to buy it. It's on the last disc, it's not like it has its own, separate release.

actually, the true ending is the continuation of the good end, not a different version.

IIRC Nanako shouldn't be dead for that long

Nanako died -> Go to Namatame Room -> and if you chose not to kill him, when you came back Nanako was alive again

Idk wth is director thinking by adding 1 extra day in the middle

for normal people, if his/her heart stop beating for that long, I'm sure his/her brain is way beyond dead

and for the explanation about persona, velvet room, shadow, arcana

yeah I found it a little bit unexplored too since it might be too hard to explain it in anime

Yeah, but it's still in the same mindset of "the product did not ship out finished" as expected. Or, more like the line of what is a finished product is getting blurred.
