A random thought that just struck me after reading Kumagawa's goodbye message which made me actually go and check but

Medaka Box ran for almost exactly 4 years (more like 4 years and 1 month).

Wonder if that's intentional or coincidental, it's hard to tell with Nisio sometimes

Kumagawa's and Ajimu's messages were more directed at the audience than anyone else, tbh.

We got resolution for all the characters. We got to see where they are and what they did. We were teased that Kumagawa and Ajimu might still be around. We got an explanation as to what happened to all the Skills and such. Zenkichi and Medaka met and finally got married.

Compared to most endings it was pretty good.

I remember absolutely loathing the ending more than anything else in the manga (which is saying something). There were many things I wanted answered. There were many things I didn't understand and points I harshly disagreed with. The open-endedness left me feeling empty - they proposed many times before but were always sidetracked, so why should I assume this will turn out better?

But, I'm ranting. Besides, every time I talk about my feelings on this ending, I get into arguments about the author's intentions.
