That's probably a younger version of Guame. He did say that he and Lord Genome went a long ways back, after all.

Wanted. After Kamina died Simon forced himself into losing all interest in women until Nia came into scene... at which point he forgot all about other girls.

Actually it was pretty interesting reading the book straight through because of that. It wasn't in any sort of chronological order, so one story would have Simon/Nia undertones, and then in the next one he's lusting after Kiyoh, and then suddenly he's angsting about losing Kamina, and then back to Simon/Nia fluff, then Kamina was alive and Simon was lusting after Yoko, then Simon/Nia again.

I'm not really sure where I should post this bit of news, but anyway. The "Onsen Toppa Gurren Lagann Radio" internet radio program ended in November, but a new radio program, "Radio Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" is starting on February 2nd on AM stations in Japan. The main personalities are Kakihara Tetsuya and Inoue Marina again, along with one other person who hasn't been revealed yet- maybe Manabe-san, since he seemed to be somewhat of a regular in the Onsen Toppa? (I wish it's Nakashima since I thought he was entertaining, but he'd probably be too busy.)

The purpose of the program is to announce new information about Gurren Lagann, so it looks like there's still a lot to look forward to, at least in terms of merchandise. I'm not sure if it's even possible to listen to the new radio show unless you live in Japan though. I've been seeing people on 2ch whine about it, but hopefully someone will at least post a synopsis if anything important is announced?

Update: Someone on 2ch kindly uploaded it. Turns out there's an "Ask Gainax" section. The question they covered this time was what the meaning of "Tengen" is in the title, but you can send in mail at the official website:

I just sent in a question to the "Ask Gainax" corner asking why Boota evolved in episode 26 and then turned back in episode 27. It would be awesome if they end up answering it.
